Definitely a great purchase! I think you will be really happy with the stability and the extra confidence you feel paddling it in rough ocean conditions! The weight and width of the Fusion 480 is very similar to my Stealth Fisha 555, so that makes me think the on water performance will be similar also. You are going to love it!🎣😃

Great vid. I think only a few people will have had issues with the fixed rudder, but I have read plenty of comments from UK paddlers that wouldn't trust this so would prefer a kick-up rudder. It's good that Stealth have included both options for this kayak. Of course kick-up rudder are less effective in surf.
@MooMooOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
We'll see how I like the current rudder. Yes kick-up rudder is not so good in the surf.

Hey moomoo which net do you use to store inside this kayak? My understanding is illegal not to have one when fishing from a vessel
@MooMooOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are correct. You are required to have a landing net on board that is at least 18 inch diameter opening. I don't have a folding net that fits inside the hatch. I usually carry a net in this video below. Which is great for landing and releasing a shaker halibut without causing tail split. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZqlnJuYrL9ksKc

@@MooMooOutdoors thanks for taking the time to respond. I just got the profisha 525 from Ruben. These kayaks glide so well on the water -trying to figure out which net to bring that could fit in the hatch
@MooMooOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I thought about buying a triangular net that folds down but decided not to because I already have too many nets 😂🤣. What I do in surf launch and landing is put the net on top of the fish hatch lid, the handle side on the lid and the hoop end on the bow, then strap the net handle with the hatch lid.

Hi Moo. Love watching your fishing videos! I was just about to pull the trigger on purchasing a revolution 13 but now I am really liking your new Fusion 480. Seems to be a great Kayak from what I heard. My only question is can you mount a downrigger like the one you have on your revolution? If not how are you planning to fish for salmon... lead core, trolling diver, etc? I am sure you are planning to explain this in your next video but I am getting anxious! Cheers tight line!
@MooMooOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes you can mount a downrigger. Ruben has a downrigger on his stealth. However, I not planning on installing a downrigger on this since I still have my Revo 13. I'm going to use either driver (deep diver six) or just simply some weight.

@maldrury83134 жыл бұрын
@@MooMooOutdoors Viking does have an option for a live well in their tackle pod. If you are going to launch in the surf then the rod storage of the Stealth can't be beaten. Even if you flip in the surf your gear will be safe. I think the stability of the Fusion will be better than the other carbon Stealths.
@wingnutbert96854 жыл бұрын
Maybe, if you need back support, you could slot a padded PVC frame into the rod holders.
