I find this interesting that we finally see a fleshing out of the carnage symbiote from Cletus. Carnage being like the brains and Cletus being a murderous henchman. I can see carnage abandoning Cletus for a more suitable host being a character that takes on host for its needs before discarding them

I mean... a lot of that happened in the last two Carnage story-arcs when the symbiote went power-up grinding in the Nine Realms and to find a dwarf to forge All-Blood while Cletus played haunted house with the extremis symbiote he took from Tony Stark. Carnage forcefully bonded with a police detective (I forget his name), but it didn't work out, and old Cletus back then wasn't interested in playing god either, so Carnage killed him after bio-engineering the new Cletus we see now (leaving Carnage all over again).

Venom was never the god it was Eddie. Venom has been at normal levels with Dylan for 4 years and carnage is staying a god they just teased a king in crimson or something

@@ceral1871 Just remember, Cassidy told Carnage he'll be waiting for when his symbiote is done with playing god. That was a hint to a end to this ongoing story arc. Just remember the 'Eventuality' teased to both Eddie and Dylan that they had to keep Venom away from the other. If Eddie was the symbiote god, then why would he need Venom? Even future version of Eddie, Meridius, needs a symbiote. It seems the 'Eventuality' is manipulating both father and son, but for what reason? I doubt that it's Meridius or Carnage that's the real threat here, but the 'Eventuality', the form that Meridius is supposed to evolve into. Maybe Old Man Venom is going to be needed to help his younger self and Eddie in fighting the 'Eventuality'.

But Carnage just doesn’t get that. His rivalry with Eddy just keeps getting in the way.

My first though is this is a little confusing because it ended in a divorce.. In retrospect, it very easy to see why Cletus Left Carnage.. Yet again.. Carnage was very controlling and did not let Cletus have a say in what they want to do.. Honestly, it's surprising that Cletus let it get this far. Old Cletus would have dunked himself in K-chemical to show Symbiont Carnage who is boss.. That's why it's so confusing Why New Cletus is walking away like he cares about carnage like he used to care about their feelings. why does it seem like there are two carnage. god carnage and then cletus with carnage but isn’t this the second time during this arc that cletus has left ? are they jumping around in time ? i have read every issue that has to do with the venom war arc of every character but this is the one i don’t understand. when they draw carnage with the horns like mwridius and he clearly is god carnage who to me should be more powerful than any eddie and then they draw him as regular carnage i don’t understand. he went through the quest to get all the power he has for example he can jump in and out of time with spots powers and now he’s regular carnage? what’s going on . help me understand

1.) I credit Cletus surviving in part to the fact that the first time they separated it was shortly after absorbing the brain of OG Cletus. But after the near death experience in the carnage series and carnage rebuilding itself and Cletus something changed. 2.)If you followed the venomverse reborn story they hint at a "king in crimson" so I see the Eddie and carnage story being tied to it somehow
