My knowledge of Bile is pretty shallow. I have never played the game and have only read a few 40k books here and there. My question for you is whether Bile has ever expressed interest in the Tyranids. Their ability to consume genetic material and rapidly evolve seems like something he should be interested in. Like, it seems if there is ever a crossover between the Alien/Predator universe and 40k, Bile is running Weyland-Yutani and running it well!

I hope Bile/Abbadon fails. Not because I hate chaos, but I think there needs to be an instance or two of Chaos failing because of its own nature. Chaos corrupts, and chaos destroys. I'd like to think it would struggle trying to emulate something rather than corrupt it.

Unlike Cawl Fabius doesn’t have a reliable source of uncorrupted geneseed, and when he gets some it won’t stay that way for very long given that Fabius does all his research in the Eye. If mass production of Astartes in the Eye were a solvable problem Chaos legions wouldn’t bother with geneseed raids, and simply killing some Primaris to implant their geneseed presumably doesn’t require Fabius’ special talents.

You do not understand how Chaos workes, lol. It is totally conrolled random numbers by Chaos Gods. It is mean that if whey want the will be no Eye of Terror or corrupted geneseed or the Emperor wake up from his Golden Throne or they can finish this whole game in 1 sec and etc etc etc. Unnambered casualitys (+8) that they can create and manipulate (whole WH 40 K setting aka lore\story is their playground since day 0 because in WARP the are no space and time). Just think that they are lot of stuble worls in the Eye of Terror (in the same time worlds of Eye of Terror literally existed in WARP)

With Magnus I actually think there is an opening for him to be for this. Consider that his legion has been turned to ash, and outside that they are just mutated piles of flesh. I could see in his arrogance the thought that splicing in his brothers gene-seed to stabilize his sorcerers would play heavily into his desire to build a psychic empire. I think more so than the primarchs response that the gods of chaos might not be happy. The impression I get is that they're claim is not just on the primarchs souls but that of their "decedents", so wonder if it could possibly cause the chaos gods to start dog piling each other fighting over it.

That's not entirely the case for thousand sons. The rubric of Ahriman turned only non-psykers into automatons. The legion still has powerful astartes. Ahriman being one, and the king breaker being another

If Black Library has Fabius work with Abbadon in this capacity (making chaos primaris for Abbadon), I will protest. In Fabius' novels, it shows he is pretty clearly negatively affected by the fact that the Black Legion killed his clone of Horus, destroyed his work, and annihilated Canticle City. There is no reason that Fabius should so quickly start working with the Warmaster.

Chaos already has its own unique astartes units. The possessed, warp talons, apostles of chaos etc. GW should let the loyalists have thos one FFS.

I kind of hope that the new chaos marines do have some creative solutions put into them by Fabius, and that they are truly distinct from the Primaris(still not a big fan of many of the designs there). I also hope that these new marines will be even more unstable than the previous marines, aka more chaotic. Thusly we dont loose the gene seed raiding from Chaos marines, nor their desperation. Would suck if this means they can just endlessly churn out more and more CM. As a cool aspect of Chaos is their problems with creating CM, leading to "creative solutions" like the creation of the daemonculaba for example. Would also be a nice touch, if by being more powerful(than OG Chaos marines) but more volatile, they could lean more heavily into mutations and abberations that go along with the themes/gods of the legions. Emperors Children marines with more Slaneshi/hedonistic flair, World eaters with more Khorn/Bloodletter in them, etc. Still kind of unsure how much they will change with the general design overall though, could be cool, could be lame? Fingers crossed they will look good :)

My guess is that it's a way to make the Black Legion truly more than the sum of its parts; A legion truly chosen by all four chaos gods. In game terms I can definitely see it as a way to differentiate "Chaos Space Marines" from the four aligned legions a bit more.

Fabius will certainly make his own improved version, but I don't think he'll improve them as much as he could; he'll save that for his new man. I also don't think he'll mention it to Abbadon or anyone else if he's going to mix the genelines. Still, many will not welcome enhanced Chaos Marines on the side of Chaos, but eventually it will become a necessity.

As a loyal imperialist I find that any advantage we have however small (primaris) is absolutely crushed by chaos as they are already superior to mankind as it is, fabius getting hold of alpha primus's gene seed could actually see the end of the imperium and the only way I can see the imperium surviving is if all the loyal primarchs returning and big E fixing the webway portal break Magnus caused and getting his ass up off that throne. But that said it is exciting to see what is in store going forward!!!

I doubt Magnus literally knelt before Abaddon. That was surely a figurative event, even if it was Tzeentch ordering it. Khorne ordered Kharn to follow Abaddon but I doubt Kharn would actually kneel even if ordered to. Chaos doesn’t do brotherhood so I doubt shared geneseed would matter. Abaddon himself doesn’t do that anymore either, no matter what he said before Chaos corrupted him.

In due honesty, I am open to criticism from anyone, but please correct me if I am wrong. The Primaris Marines are fortified against chaos corruption that the base line Astartes were susceptible to. The only time in the lore, that I am aware of at least, was in which multiple Primaris marines fell to the corruption of chaos, during the arks of Omen, when Sisters of battle, guardsmen, and even Primaris all came under the infliction of Khornes influence. With that in mind, wouldn't it be difficult for Bile to program Primaris gene seed that would be able to operate inside of an already traitor Astartes which has been corrupted by chaos without the organs being rejected? If not the only solution I can think of, would be to create new Astartes which again, isn't impossible for the traitors, but impractical with the size of the already present traitors that survived the Heresy.

It’d be nice if we got more distinction when it comes to the traitor legions. The traitor primarchs need to be more prominent if even in the background so that it is clear they are the leaders of their legions not Abbaddon and his black legion. I want to see the chaos space marine legions follow their own paths and goals not follow nor kneel to Ezekyle. I just couldn’t imagine Perturabo or mortarion kneeling and placing themselves at his command. I guess I think of the interaction between Kharn and Abbadon & khorne ordering Kharn to follow at Abbadons commmand. I don’t know just my thoughts. But regardless, traitor marines being created more efficiently and that aren’t daemonculaba wouldn’t be a bad idea

Fabius did mention wanting a King for his New Men and was unabashedly impressed with Alpha Primus. Perhaps, he means to use the geneseed he stole to create that king in the form of a male counterpart to his "daughter" Porter. He does after all, desire to create a new race of human. Furthermore, he might want to spark a traitor civil war in the hopes that it would distract Abbadon and the traitor Primarchs while he pursues his true ambitions. Such a civil war could also clear the proverbial board for Fabius to move in earnest.

I don’t think it’ll be as straightforward as simply traitor Primaris. We’ve already been getting new chaos marines over the past few years so it’d be weird to just turn around and immediately make them obsolete. What I find more likely is that he’ll use it to make some sort of new elite chaos units. Alpha Primus is basically a Demi-Primarch from the sound of things anyway. So imagine like a Chosen of Angron or a Chosen of Kurz. Bigger and badder chaos chosen dedicated to a specific primarch that embody their attributes more than the average chaos marine. Or if he does decide to make fused marines I think it’s more likely it’d be the Black Legion’s leadership that get infused with all of these geneseed to make them stronger and strengthen their ties and blessings to all the chaos gods.

This makes me wonder: Can Thousand Sons even make more marines with the whole Rubrik of Ahriman in effect? I've always been under the impression that whatever sentient Thousand Sons still remained were the ones that didn't turn into the dust marines.

Just wanted to mention that Fabius can't be trusted on his own ingenuity. He already considered his early abominations that were pretty much rabid animals as superior to the original astartes. Despite that they couldn't follow orders or think anything more than "kill". They could never carry out a siege for example, but he still thought they were far superior to the emperor's work. He could genuinely see his own creations as better than the primaris, but that wouldn't mean that they actually are. Like a cultist thinking that a living with a spike through the head is better than living without a spike through the head. Everyone dealing with chaos is deluded at some point, even if Bile doesn't see it.

Interesting but the idea that chaos is filled with these overpowered brilliant strategic thinkers and tacticians and god blessed characters while the imperium is filled with bumbling. Naïve fools save a few is kind of getting tired. Chaos has so many advantages already. There should be a bit of back-and-forth. Just seems like everything is a Carraige us last stand that is miraculously saved by plot armor in every book. Perhaps I’m wrong. It just seems that way.

Honestly I don’t really like it, it would make the primaris less special. I thought the primaris was a way to equal the playing field against chaos. Chaos marines get warp enhancements and mutations and loyalists get primaris. But now I don’t know.

the primaris marines are more resistant to corruption than normal marines yet still not nearly as strongnas daemon possessed marines. the creation of chaos primaris would be a narrative waste. I think about the new breed of human Fabius created and hope his plans are more grand than making primaris

alpha primus is a weird magnus, thunder warrior using custodies gene seed, an attempt to recreate the perfection of the emperor himself. it was blasphemy just looking at him, a mockery of the emperor and weak to magnus psychic power, useless on the battlefield just a pretty bauble to look at, a complete failure. funny guy though, hell of a lot of jokes.

Why bother with Primaris, when IOM is half-dead, Primaris are easily controlled by Khorn and Daemos with Vashtor are winning everything. + tyranids on the run Pls stop. Gw destroyed whole idea of primaris, because of people crying. Now they would use Valdor Deus ex army of saints and blanks to maintain status quo Just wait Pandemonium and be ready. you would not like how GW would save IOM from destruction. If you read Genefather, you are alerted already.

Ehh I hope they drop this plot line. Its honestly not that interesting and I think Chaos should be more unique than just more chaos space marines (also I like the idea of the old traitor legions in some ways keeping to the original space marines). If they do decide to keep going with this; I hope GW uses this as a way to get the traitor Primarch's to stab Abbadon in the back and damage him seriously. It would be a more entertaining plot line.

This whole narrative of trying to fit this character that should’ve died to the emperors champion along time ago, completely ruining his story arc BTW. But anyways, have someone kill him. Give the mantle to Perty/lorgar. One will be the voice of chaos undivided, and the other will be the might. I have no idea why flabbadon is even part of this now. He is literally just a space marine with cool toys. Any one of the demon primarchs could crush him in a second. So instead of having him be in charge why not have the primarchs who represent chaos undivided either kill him or have a Black Templar kill him. He should’ve died by Sigismund as well as kharn. Great job GW on completely screwing the pooch. Just like you did with the most recent edition with the nids. Tens of thousands of space marines take on the full brunt of leviathan. Then you renege, and say it was just most of it like a big portion of it and then at the same time you completely sidestep, all known universal laws of the setting to allow the nids to create just whatever organisms they need to solve whatever problem. That’s not how it works. You genetically adapt the organisms for the environment. You don’t get to create completely different organisms just because. That’s not adaptation that’s creation. It completely disregards the whole scary part of having an intelligent swarm army. Now they are just a super genetic engineered army that no matter what you do they will just genetically engineer whatever organisms they need to defeat you. That’s not how any of that works. What they need to do is take the table top side and have it be something completely different than what’s going on on the story side. I’m getting real sick of them walking back what’s happening on the storylines for the table top. The people on the table top don’t want any forward movement. They want the campaign book to start and end at the same point. Whether it’s chaos or something else, they want it to end in either a draw, or a win for the next campaign book so at the end of the campaign, you’re right back where you started from. The people who are interested in the lore and storylines. We want to see how each race is handling what is going on as well as seeing forward progress
