Disagree completely. Conscription is always wrong. Especially with a community that opposes service for ideological or cultural reasons. I support any Haredi male that wants to join, and I absolutely oppose any attempt at coercion.

@@sylviac207even if that were true, and lets be honest, it's your biased opinion at best. Something you failed to grasp is that no soldier goes into a battelfield thinking about a politician. They do it in defence of their nation which in Israel's case is facing an existential threat proved by the barbarity of palestinian extremists on 10/7. Natanyahu may have his faults, but I can't see any other leader worth their standing acting any differently under these circumstances.

I love my people and feel that Netanyahu is a brave man and love his people. The circumstances of October 7 are atrocious, and he had no choice but to confront the enemy terrorists with a strong hand. Any resoulfoul leader would had done the same thing.

Netanyahu does not care about hostages or anybody. That's why the IDF indiscriminately bombs houses, schools, hospitals, universities and drops giant bombs in densely populated areas where hostages could be. Tens of thousands of Palestinians dead, many more hidden under rubble, it is incredibly delusional to believe that this was ordered out of any concern for human life

I'm surprised that Israel exempts anyone from service. Many countries require everyone to go through at least basic training. Look at South Korea. Israel is even more at risk than them of being prepared for war. Look at Switzerland. Israel should have laws requiring every household to have a battle rifle like switzerland, and make right to carry handguns absolute. Oct 7 shows the need for that.

How about Leftists who hate the country? Any attempt to force Haredim to join will lead to them just digging their heels and making it a communal imperative to oppose service and even ostracize those young men who choose to join. As a result you will end up causing the very Haredim who do join to suffer. The one and only way you can get Haredim to join in significant numbers is to stop abusing them.

In my own personal observation, this IDF soldiers needs to put on more weight, so they carry their daily loads with ease. And they need to be more agile and more faster as they run and maneuver around, forward, backwards, and sideways, for their own safety reasons, and their fellow IDF soldiers. Good maneuverability is an integral part in every war. Just put enough weight on, by not putting to much of it, to be able to carry your daily load in combat. Fast, agility, and fast good maneuverability, will definitely matter, in every combat operations, associated with excellent tactical operations, coming from all of the IDF officials. Apply all this as you learn from the best, your superiors in the IDF. Again this is just my own personal observation. Charedim are not generally against going to war. They generally teach their students if you aren't studying Torah full time you must fight in the army and have no excuse and if the army and reserves were lacking and you were needed then you must go too

@@saul2491 You described it nicely. But personally I wouldn't want to be in an army that is not sanctified. It's dangerous, and it isn't the way God has commanded it. Women shouldn't be in there either. They naturally become unclean through menstruation. How can she remain outside the camp for so long? What kind of soldier is that? With all respect, to me, all of this makes no sense. I'm afraid of disregarding the Laws of God. Maybe when I was more ignorant. But thanks to God, I can see better now.
