@@EDD519 Hamas created a shock, something that was according to me and many other persons really horrible, and I was really sad and upset about these attacks. But the solution made by the Israeli government to go brutally once again in this spiral of violence that lasts since 75 years, is not, according to me, a good solution. Israel state and government went into a huge and terrible retaliation which caused a huge amount of sufferings and destructions for the Palestinian people. More than 1.1 million persons in Gaza are at catastrophic level of hunger, the worst level of hunger of the World Food Program, and this number is growing by the day. Thirst is omni-present. Health care system in Gaza totally collapsed and some persons were and are amputated without anesthesia because humanitarian aid is blocked by Israeli army and citizens. More than 70% of total infrastructure in Gaza are destroyed. Less than 2000 Israeli citizens were killed, and now at least 40000 Gaza people are dead, mostly children and women, 70000 injured. It looks like Israeli people is organizing a giant humanitarian catastrophe, a huge open-air concentration camp where thousands of human beings , with thousands of children among them, are killed, tortured, traumatized, injured, like in Auschwitz during the Nazi era. When all this madness will stop ? Maybe Israel "wins" on the battleground, but in my opinion, slowly loses the battle of the hearts and of morality. To make a massacre on a muslim population is not, according to me, a good solution to stop the anti-Israel hatred that fuels the anti-Israel terrorism. All parties in a war have the moral and legal obligation to care for the humanitarian situation of the civilians. Hamas will (maybe) completely disappear, but I fear that thousands of terrorists with new names will come. Gandhi rightly said that if I destroy one of your eye, and you destroy one other eye in response, the world will quickly go blind. Let's all make peace between nations, cultures and religions inside the human family. Let's learn to forget and forgive, and not allow ourselves to go on a rampage of violence. Non-violence is the key. It is when you take into account your own needs, and the needs of others, that non-violent solutions can appear.

As long as we fight among ourselves in the human community, the ecosystems' problems will not be solved, too much overconsumption and overpopulation problems will plague our planet. It is better to die with a mind at peace than to fight violently and cruelly against basic moral values, like mandatory humanitarian protection of civilians during war time. This is my opinion.

I kept waiting for the Rabbi to speak about how these IDF Haredim, can have a strong impact on combating the trend towards secularism in Israel. Orthodoxy and secularism in Israel, needs to find common grounds. Further breaking apart into more distant social/cultural groups is not something Israel needs right now. And if the Jewish communities can't do this, how can it be expected of the non-Jewish communities?

I always wonder why Israelis call the Gaza Arabs palestinians...they are not, but by calling them that name you legitimize that they are - while it is a lie. There has never been a palestinian people. If there were than Jews who also lived there - just as Arabs - are also "palestinians." The Philistines were an Aegean people - related to the Greeks and with no connection ethnically, linguistically, or historically at all with Arabia - they conquered the Mediterranean coastal plain that is now Gaza in the 12th Century BCE. Israel defeated the Philistines back then and drove them out of Gaza. The name Philistine was much later given to Israel by Roman Emperor Hadrian, who's occupation was responsible for several decrees that sought to crush the National identity and religious spirit of the Jews some time after Roman Emperor Titus smashed the Israeli resistance in the year 70 and took most Israelis with the as slaves to spread them all over their huge Empire. But the Roman Empire disappeared and other occupier's toke over the Land such as the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire and the name Philistine was done away with and they renamed the whole region Syria - until the British became the world power and occupier and it was them to rename the whole region Palestina, that is: Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt combined. So ask yourself: where is the evidence that proves that there was an ancient palestinian State? Where are the old scrolls that describes its history - in it mentioned old Kings, old Rulers, old Governments and Government buildings - where are the old cities, old coins, old ruins, old roads, old harbors ??? THEY CAN’T SHOW ANY OF THESE MENTIONED ARTIFACTS ! Israel on the other hand CAN show MILLIONS of mentioned history and artifacts that PROVE they belong there. It is islam that doesn't tolerate any other religion which is the root of all conflict. We are waiting for the return of Lord Yeshua (born in Bethlehem, but raised in Nazareth, so why do Israelites reject their own Mashiach / ) to bring about peace.
