and this is why i never understand why the overblow pilots with unessesary informations, a intelligent flight system should only display important stuff, measuring oil temp is important yes but not to fly , its just information, if a problem comes details can be added, wich have effekt on that problem, i allways see planes as flying Technerdroom, way to many information , all important but not allways needed this can be simpler better lighter... the moment we left cable steered flights, we allready gave up controll to technology, so why not get a step further and build a ki sich only displays whats important for the moment of need, or fly the thing alone ... without all this boxes of analog display stuff and cables the plane gets alot lighter more efficent...plus u save 1-4 seats u no longer need evem food suppply on the flight can be automated, yes it wouldnt work well at the first start, but over time its possible ... we train pilots in what to do in case of emergencys we know, why not train the ki to deal with such situations itself, pilots should only have the last word until the KI system works that well that it dosent any longer need a pilot.... and even then u can integrate a emergency way to overtake controll.... if u have a KI wich controlls funktions u dont need visualisations, no need for big heavy analog systems, that makes the system way lesser complex but under the thing u loose more controll... main problem in flight is atm the human factor, and the less problem is technical failurs, wich if they happen allways have catastrophig ending it not know from bevore... or not be trained by the pilots...

Wouldn't it be nice & superb that instead of going to war, the world scientists and inventors get together and invent computers, gadgets, robots, improve roads and strong and efficient infrastructures, better medicines, nutrition, vaccines, agricultural techniques, seeds, insects & pest control, marine tech and other new tools to help humanity fight illiteracy, hunger, diseases, drought, predict calamities to make lives comfortable & meaningful. With better lives, there's a possibility that crime, and war will reduce.

Things like these will only become more variants of these kinds of things and things we've not yet imagined and their ability will only speed up until we reach the technical singularity, which the earliest estimate is around 2035. 🌍💥 The impact of these future technologies is indeed revolutionary. The potential for positive change is astounding, but we must also acknowledge the potential risks and implications they bring. The concern of widening the wealth gap is valid, as the disparity between the haves and have-nots could become more pronounced. It's crucial to ensure that these advancements benefit everyone and empower those in lower-income situations. By fostering inclusivity and providing opportunities, we can strive for a more equitable future where advancements propel us forward as a society. Let's harness these technologies to uplift all individuals and collectively explore new frontiers, like outer space! 🚀🌠

@1:07:20 It's not friction that makes an aircraft skin get hot it's atmospheric compression. Anyway, I don't think we're going to see half the advancements in aviation we think. If we get nuclear fusion sorted there will be massive investment in high-speed ground transport. This shift has happened several times in the past. We had sailing ships, then steamships, then diesel ships, and then air transport completely killed the passenger shipping industry. The next energy revolution will be electric. Point to point travel will eliminate the need for airports same way aircraft eliminated the need for passenger sea ports.

Since the industrial revolution, the progress of technological advances has been achieved at the expense of society and populations, but then the added value generated is diverted into the pockets of the plutocrats who govern the "democratic" countries of the West, through the connections of multinationals that are (almost all, or all) of these plutocrats who are its largest shareholders with the universities and scientific institutes (which are maintained with the financial effort of the populations and where research and development of these technological advances are carried out) this new scientific knowledge is captured and maintained as if it were a monopoly of these multinationals. And the added value generated by these technological advances, instead of being shared by society as a whole, is pocketed by 15 or twenty plutocrats, who no one knows who they are and who are the biggest "clients" of Blackrock and Vanguard - or rather , their owners. And so they deceive the population, who are now informed that the social benefits they previously had will disappear, because there is no money to maintain them and they will have to increase the retirement age. The moral sense inherent in human beings seems to have disappeared completely.

I've long believed that a technological singularity would be an amazing way to equalize the disparities apparent in wealth, access to life sustaining resources, and in protecting personal liberties. Having said that, I'm concerned as so much of our information is already being bought and sold as commodities that we have no control over. Adding more access to personal data could be a dictator's wet dream, seeing as the systems gathering said data have almost zero reason to protect gathered information. Before anyone says that I'm being alarmist, I already know the talking points about convenience, traffic safety, quality of life improvements and all that stuff. I'm not saying that it's inherently bad, only that it has the possibility of being abused by various groups. Let's just put it this way, if your home is continuously gathering data about your health and behavior, then what's to stop the insurance company from discriminating against someone? We're already seeing a large number of draconian policies being enacted against women and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Let's say Allstate wants to support a specific social movement, what's to stop them from targeting those individuals? I love the idea of tech being used to improve our lives, but I'm hesitant to have a "virtual assistant" following me around everywhere and reporting to who knows whom. To me that seems almost cyberpunk-ian and perhaps a bit intimidating when considered from a sociological perspective.
