You guys said that the application has been closed already, but why those the government website and the NHS website never launched the application? I’m interested in it and since last year I’m looking every single day to those websites and I never saw the vacancy

How can we apply for this for September 2024?

Any link where to apply for the next cohort in 2025? Track job? UCAS? Any direct link where to send the application? Any deadline for next year? Thanks a lot!

Applications have now closed. Apprenticeships have become available at different times in the year, they are advertised on NHS jobs, it is a good idea to keep an eye on these platforms and to look up the available courses to see if they have any information on future applications

If you are doing a degree in Biomedical Science, will they accept you with a 2.1 even if you have 4 A Levels 2 at Grade B and two at Grade C?
@Hi-qt2nj7 ай бұрын
Never. As soon as they see the 2.1 they will throw your application away
@ياحررامشومأهورينمهررين5 ай бұрын
No they need 2:1 in the last 5 years plus at least one A from a science Alevel done in the last 5 years too. Plus Gcse english and Math

Is an access to medicine A level course sufficient on it’s own, or do you need a degree as well to apply?

You don't need a degree for the apprenticeship educationhub.blog.gov.uk/2024/02/05/nhs-doctor-apprenticeships-everything-you-need-to-know/

This is ridiculous. Why don’t they clear current doctors debt. Yet another slap in the face to junior doctors

Is it equal to graduation? MBBS can non UK citizens apply mean Pakistani candidates

You are talking about this as if it is was a good thing but it is just an awful, poorly thought through idea. Even though the BMA has completely rejected the idea, it seems to be going through anyway. It is an insult to everyone who went to medical school and spent 2 years studying followed by 3 unpaid years of placement, by allowing some people to qualify with the same role having only have made money. It will only produce a gargantuan disparity in the financial situation of those who accumulated a massive debt vs those who accumulated money. Additionally, a medical degree is already one of the most intense and difficult degrees and how is anyone going to learn all there is to know to become a half decent doctor if they are working during that whole time when they would otherwise would be studying. If they want to increase access to medicine, they should increase the number of widening access spaces, not this short sighted plan. This idea is a complete insult to the medical profession.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It is certainly an ongoing debate in the medical field. While we do encourage increasing access to medicine, we mention at the end of the video that this approach in particular is unproven as to how well it will work. A lot remains to be seen!

Hi! The medical schools piloting the apprenticeship include Anglia Ruskin, Central Lancashire, Plymouth and Queen Mary

Hello, what about international students who are not eligible and present in the uk how would you advise them to approach this.
@FutureDoc2 ай бұрын
Hi! Unfortunately it may be that this programme wouldn't be suited to you. However, you can apply to medicine as an international student via the normal degree route.
