As big as our great country is all it takes is a disaster of the Key bridge. It almost feels like a small town with everyone stepping up and doing something to help others that they don't know. Times like this I'm even more proud to call myself an American. People from all over the country coming to help. I realize they are getting paid but they are wanting to meet the locals. That says a lot to me.

The reason why the acid based cleaner is turning the webo lettering green is because it's copper based paint which is what many bottom paints contain and the acid is leaching the copper from the paint.

I bottom painted in the rain in the northwest. Take your masking tape and run a strip of tape around the water line with the tape folded backwards in half on itself. The bottom half of the folded tape will stick out and make a drip line that the rain will run off of instead of running down onto the bottom.

@ericquickle82207 ай бұрын
@@james94582yeah that’s exactly what I was thinking. Definitely just get it smooth rather than textured and it would probably be wayy more durable. I saw a guy in our campground that had an older jeep on 37’s that was completely painted in textured bed liner, even parts of the interior, and a marine grade sound system so it was waterproof.
@jamesranker62757 ай бұрын
on & off will help with the barnacles but not the whole thing. You have to scrape off the majority of the shell then apply on & off with a brush or foam roller and it dissolves the left over barnacle "dimes" quite well. Give it anther shot sometime. Another trick, Spray pain your underwater metals (props, shafts, intakes, keel cooler) with rustoleum cold galvanizing zinc paint. It is the same composition as Petit barnacle barrier except less expensive and easier to remove for recoating in the spring.Its very effective for keeping growth off underwater metas and props.
