My wife and lived off of Solley Road for about 15 years so it's really nice to watch your videos and see the sights we saw daily during that time. We don't get back to AA County that often these days, but the next time the wife has a craving for Crabs, we will be driving back to pick some up from you. Hey Luke. Wanted to save you some trouble later. Dig a trench from the little creek all the way back to the boat so that it pitches down towards the creek. Deep enough so that any water will run from under the boat to the creek. Get a "French Drain Pipe. A PVC pipe with lots of holes and a fabric sock over it. Bury that along the length of the boat and add a "T" fitting at the trench. Run solid pipe from the "T" down to the creek. Water from under the boat wont sit and ROT the bottom again. Looks stellar. Good lick buddy!

I’m in FL, so obviously we don’t have extreme freezing temps like in MD, but as a career General Contractor, we use plastic body filler aka “Bondo” quite often to fill cracks / do repairs in rotten wood on construction remodeling projects. As long as you remove all the loose / splintered wood / putty and get it dust free, PBF will bond great to the raw wood with very little shrinkage. Sand, maybe a second skim coat, sand again, prime, paint and it’ll be slicker than greased owl snot. JS 😊

Your discovery of the beautiful wood on the stern reminds me of my parent's house. When they first got it in the late '70s all the woodwork was painted. My parents decided to strip the paint before adding yet another layer of paint. Only to find knot less golden oak under all that paint. They chemically stripped it (to get the paint out of the grain) and polyurethaned the wood instead.

All you need for that roof is a 5 gal bucket of elastomeric sealant. Make it white so it reflects heat during the summer. If you want to be really industrious, once you seal the roof, get metal rails and buy a bunch of solar panels from Harbor Freight so that you save money on electricity to keep the crab cooler running. Also, you need to patch up those holes on the bottom or you will get rats and other vermin under your floor boards.
