I am working on the harmonic tuning video , but it’s quite simple compared to this video . Once you managed to tune your impact like in my video it’s a matter of going out and shoot some groups at different power settings and see what groups best 👍😉

So turing that screw in the Hammer Spring is YET another way to adjust the speed apart from the wheel setting itself ? am a bit confused.

Not really the screw inside the power wheel can be adjusted to determine the amount off tension on the hammerspring

In the early days ( when I made this video ) I was always trying to keep the regulator as low as possible to maximize the efficiency. But recently i find better accuracy at higher regulator pressures when shooting slugs . For pellets I still use a low regulator pressure

🤔 you have a good eye for detail 👍 . In order to get the Nexus scope I had to sell my Athlon scope and Spuhr mount to get the funds . It was sad to let that mount go but I had to if I wanted the nexus . Later on i had a opportunity I couldn’t let go and so I had another one (funny how things happen sometimes 🤔) Super happy with it .

I recently change caliber from a .30 to .22 and for some reason I can't pass 950fps with 34 grain javelins. I have the huma dual transfer port and high flow probe. With the .30 cal 140bar bring me close to 1000fps with 44.75 grains, I don't understand how with a lighter projectile it can't reach the 950fps​@@Airbuks

Very simple and that is because the barrel diameter from .22 is a lot smaller then the .30

Hi, I still switch between the barrel length and bottles. For the moment the 300cc tank went to my Dreamline and to experiment with slugs on the impact I wanted a little longer barrel and a bit more air . Soon I want to convert it to a double 300cc bottle with 500mm barrel 😉 . That’s the beauty of these guns , you can mix and match as much as you want and build the gun that suits you at that time

Struggling with my tune. If I max out hammer spring and valve on line four to my target speed and then start to lower hammer spring and valve screw I drop too much fps. I also tried the other way of starting hammer tension low and increasing until you reach 15-20fps faster than target speed and then try and decrease the valve screw to lower fps but when I lower to around line 3 my FPS only drops around 5 fps. I’m lost!

I have my .25 maxed out hammer and valve set at 4 and I turned my regulator to 95 bar and I get 891FPS then do the step to change the power wheel to see when the FPS drops. Power 5 888fps then power 4 884fps and then power 3 877fps I saw the drop. I’m kind of stuck on what I should be doing?

I would go higher on the regulator ( 120bar ) put the valve around 2-2.5 and you will see that the hammerspring wheel will give you bigger steps . With that low regulator pressure and the hammerspring on max you are overpowering the valve

I was asking cuz I think I had to much hst and it was causing efficiency problems so I put my gun back to factory settings and this weekend I will tune it for the 34 jsb at around 890 900 fps around there I find them very accurate out of my impact mk2 25 cal thanks again this v6help me out alot

You didn’t miss it , I didn’t include it because at the end it isn’t something you can copy from one gun to the other . It’s all about the balance between the 3 settings if one is slightly different you need a different HS load . But if you want for reference I ended up at 18,85 mm

Difficult question , simple answer 😉 Different guns both have a different purpose for me . So I can’t choose between them . The impact is simply bad ass and for me a bench gun and slug shooter a powerhouse! The Dreamline is awesome for the possibility of changing things around , in the compact version it’s a fantastic lightweight pesting and plinking tool

Haha good question, I also own a Dreamline tac compact and wanted a 300 cc tank for it but they where hard to get but came standard on impact compact. I already owned a 580cc for the Dreamline so I swapped between them , I also have different barrels to switch between them . That’s the nice thing about FX , you can mix and match different items in different guns 😉👍

I have MKII in .22 cal 600mm on order, and this may be an obvious question but I’m not 100% clear on it: if I fit a Huma HF transfer port and probe kit, would you expect me to get similar performance with the 22gr FX hybrid slug from the same settings as you’re showing for the .25? Or as it’s a lighter projectile would it require less energy/pressure/air etc to attain the same speed? I know I’ll find out when I test it... but guess I’m getting impatient! 😊

@@Airbuks I just put a huma port and probe in mine and it woke the gun up. 110 reg,, hammer spring set to not quiet max, at 960fps hyb 22 slugs,, out of 700mm with power plenum,, superior1 liner.... initially I installed it with stock settings and shot it in back yard and it cracked the sound barrier, very loud. had to retune the gun dramatically.

Hey its really great video. Today i try to tune my fx impact mk2 with 700mm stx barrel exactly like u say. İ made my hammer spring to max and open the valve 4 and set the reg at 85. İ want to shoot jsb 33.95 around 860fps. When i try with this tune i get 870fps. İ was waiting less actually. And when i get high i start to take down my hammer tansion till i get 865 fps. After that i close slowly my valve till i get still 865fps. Till here everything is fine but my result are like that Max 865fps 5 : 854 4: 849 3: 814 2:805 1:805 Min:810 İ didint understand why its like that and i was hoping for jsb 25,39 get like 890 fps with same tune. But with same tune when i just change tu hummer to min i get 920fps. Pls help me where i did wrong.

@@Airbuks sorry for my bad english. no i have 700mm stx pellet barrel so i am trying to tune for jsb 33,95 and jsb 25.39 and hoping i can get with same tune just change the hummer for example max to min get 890 fps for jsb 25gr and 860 fps for jsb 34gr. İ think my reg is too low but still fps is higher than what i want. And i am afraid if i raise my reg. The fps also will raise i dont know what to do. Thanks for helping.

@@the_sweethard yes that’s my best guess as well, to low on the regulator with to much hammerspring tension . Don’t go any lower in the regulator or you will blow the oring off the plenum at the back . If you look at your power levels you can see that your velocity goes up again at min . That’s a signs you have to much hammerspring for that given regulator pressure. So start by reducing the hammerspring tension on max until you have a little bit of play in the adjustment block and see , then I would increase the reg to about 100bar and play with the valve to get it consistent . And for 33,95 at max its like 900fps.i just want to ask last question. Now my reg is at 120bar. And valve at 2,5 line. And hammer at max dont move like ur video. The question is if i go down to reg and also down to hammerspring tansion can i get same fps and save much air ? İs 120bar too much for 25cal or not ? Thanks a lot

@@the_sweethard that depends on what other modifications you have , slug power kit , Huma transferport... with those mods and a 700 mm you should be able to drop the reg 10 to 15 bar and Hs also offcours

In term off velocity, its good guidance, but after you get the desire velocity, how about the grouping? On 50 meter and above? Is it as good as on previous setting?

The harmonic testing wil be done this weekend 😉👍 that’s why I set it to 965fps so I can drop the velocity a bit to find the perfect FPS for accuracy

You would think that FX would do all this, then all customers would have to do is follow their guidelines for different pellets, slugs and liners. I know each rifle isn’t blueprinted but getting in the ball park of say 5-15 FPS would be ok. It would save money, time and frustration. I like the Yanks approach, turn everything up to max and shoot at 300 yards🤣

I also like the Yank approach 😉 my impact preformed already pretty good out of the box but after a few 100 shots the regulator settled and gave me similar consistency. But as with any super car with some fine adjustments it can preform even better 👍

All FX guns shoot pellet on pellet at 50 yards easily out of the box. He’s just tweaking it for certain ammunition,FPS. I have 2 fox guns. They are incredibly accurate
