or he just got up looked at everyone spoke in english "behold the greath warlord, brilliant master of trickery. Who tricked his own loyal vassals into a noiseless smothering" and then just went "Mina Shinu" so everyone could understand what he said in a summarized way.

Excellent video! The banter between Rodrigues and Blackthorne gave us some of the funniest lines in the show. Although my favourite has to be Kiri: You are still as unmanageable now as you were then. Toranaga: Just like the size of your rump. Kiri: You! And in front of lord Hiromatsu too! Now I shall have to shave my head and become a nun.

@@T57CustodianI know that "objectively " (i.e. for most people) the actress that plays Mariko will be seen as more beautiful, but I prefer the one that plays Fuji. Probably because she looks completely Japanese while the former has some more mixed traits on her face (still incredibly gorgeous of course).

It is unfortunate that Rodriguez doesn't have a larger role in the latest version. He was really good and he and Anjin played well off each other. You can see they would have been BFFs under different circumstances .But of course John Ryes Davies can not be matched in the 1980 version. One of my favorite actors "Hey Ingles "

During sengoku samurais were instructed to carry sword more vertically to the ground to prevent easy drawing which led to bloodshed. At that point both side are going to die. One immedetly. Then assilant had to seppuku. Shifting the sword to horizonal position is like putting the gun out of safety. Signal of violence.
