Lots of similarity with yours and my Monte V6 229. I do put a thin coat of oil on the filter before screwing it back on, but I too struggled with all the junk on the engine when I changed my valve cover gaskets. I disconnected the heater hoses and anything else I could for easier access. Regardless, it's a tedious job for sure. My oil pan gets filthy from a small oil drip behind the engine at the rear main. Still, we do what we can to keep these beauty's on the road. Thanks for sharing your work on that nice ride. Nice work!

Yeah they're very similar. I do the same thing with the oil filter I just didn't show it. On the next one I'm going to disconnect it all to get to that passenger valve cover . Thank you for watching #GbodyStillStanding 🤜🤛

I dont see a PCV valve on the cover...Do you have any issues getting it smog checked? and can you consider doing an emissions video for example: vaccum thermal switches, charcoal canister hoses routing, oxygen sensor connections for this 3.8 V6 ...I cant seem to find any more info online on this...Thanks
@StillStandingGarage6 ай бұрын
PCV is located on the intake manifold on this setup. I don't have a stock G-Body with a 3.8 V6 at the moment for me to make a video on vacuum lines and emissions setup. Thank you for watching 🤝💯

bro, on your intake manifold, what sensor do you have there connected to that one wire? I had a EGR Pressure Valve switch with 2 vacuum hoses, you're is different. Can you explain how you have yours configured?
@StillStandingGarage22 күн бұрын
That's my temp sensor with the one wire. This manifold doesn't have an EGR port.

Hey brotha I was watching you're video and seen that u have a heater control valve, my question is what vacum line do u have running to it? The heater on my cutlass isn't working and I change alot of things on it. I'd u don't mind replying porfaz
@StillStandingGarage2 жыл бұрын
I haven't got to that point on this one. So at this time I don't know if the heater even works. The lines are not hooked up to anything. I would say to search for the vacuum line diagram for your Cutlass.

What valve covers are you running on the regal and where did you purchase them?
@StillStandingGarage Жыл бұрын
These are Edelbrock valve covers. I'm not sure about the part number on these. I believe I bought these on Jegs' website.

Hey bro have you ever had problems with the carb flooding when you're hitting switches in driving
@StillStandingGarage2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I do. I just step on it more so it doesn't die on me lol. I believe Holley makes a carb that doesn't flood when you hit the switches.

If you have a 231 3.8 V6, then it's the Buick V6. It's the same as mine.
