I suppose he was just trying to motivate people--everyone survives death. the energy body grows inside you no matter what you do. the dead live on and can be sensed for a while if you're a developed yogi. Later that easily detectable shell seems to fall away. they may still be around but I can't feel them anymore. I like gurdjieff but have no idea what he was going on about at times and am forced--knowing what I know now--to wonder if some of this is con.

zyxmyk you may be right. Gurdjieff said that if the master was forthright and told the pupil what needed to be done and why, then the pupil would not work hard enough.

I spoke to a teacher of the gurdjieff method who learned in turn from oespensky. "teacher". Who's motivation was trying to overcome death. I felt very uneasy for him before he admitted that and sorry for him afterwards. I dont think he had made any progress at all in 20 years and now fancied himself a teacher.

I know that Elliot does a lot of these readings but I find your British accent difficult to follow. And I think it's just so complex and detailed information from gurdjieff really wish there was another reader More mellifluous that was easier for me to follow and thank you.
