Also put your ammo belt of bullets over the opposite shoulder. It's more flat and you don't have the grenades getting in the way of the bullet belt.

Funnily enough, I had on that way initially (which I edited out) as it wasn't sitting flush that way either. I'll have another play around with it, thanks for the tip.

The plastic of is very inconsistent so if its hot its going to bend. Just heat it up 30 secs and instantly dip it in cold water once set. The backpack fix, heat the hole in the back for 10 seconds but not the backpag peg and it should go in easily. Then leave it in there. The next time it should pop in and out easily. The hole is too small for the peg.

Range Viper's launcher should be launching gas cannisters. This would be incredibly useful to flush an opponent out of concealment in woods/mountainous terrain, where few recon soldiers would be equipped with a full gas mask. With the ability to gas a large wooded area these guys would be terrifying recon hunters, plus their own capability to remain concealed and use ambush tactics. The classic look with the blue color has a nostalgic appeal, but I'd like an updated and more practical color for back country cat & mouse fighting (like brown/olive green/grey). Maybe on a repainted version later. Or maybe I'll custom paint a couple of them. Super disappointing that his hatchet doesn't attach to the backpack.

So you were asking about weapons storage. I just figured this out. On the opposite side of the backpack from where the radio is there is a little plastic knob that the axe will fit onto through the center of the ax-head. Also you can store the grenade launcher by flipping the backpack to the rear end it will only go in one way there is a hole where the top site of the grenade launcher fits into the backpack. Then just put the machine gun in his hand he has to carry that.

Thanks, Phil. It is a great figure and I wish those issues weren't so noticeable, but when it's that glaringly obvious one can't be a tad disappointed and annoyed, which of course lends to my grading of it.

Use a hair dryer to get it hot, straighten it out then run it under cold water. This figure IMO is a 5/5 if you can quick fix any weapons issues and if the other accessories really can attach to the pack.

Dude. It looks like the grenade launcher clips into the underside of the backpack. There's a notch that looks like the scope goes in there. The axe has a rectangle hole that looks like it matches with the rectangle on the backpack.

Hello. I was watching your review. You just got a bad copy. I literally just got one from China. Only issue I had was a bent barrel at the tip of the machine gun that I heated and fixed. No tight joints no backpack issue nothing like what you encountered. Sometimes I wonder if they're not using two different factories.

@@SharkEyesToyView I took a little restaurant ramekin. I put a small amount of cold water and I threw it in the microwave on high for about a minute until the water was starting to boil. Dip it in just for a few seconds pull it out straighten it and then run it under cold water.

I think if you are ordering these to get them before everyone you will encounter way more QC issues then if you just wait. I encountered similar issues with Outback, Falcon, Recondo, etc... because I couldn't wait. Its almost like the initial batches are rushed or the QC issues aren't ironed out or maybe you just get a bad batch occasionally. And for his weapons you can buy slings or make them out of the old covid masks using the elastic bands

I wouldn't be surprised tbh. The only reason I ordered them is because I missed out on the Hasbro pre-order and I REALLY wanted them. I had another two arrive today from Taiwan, so will be interesting to see how they go. Thanks for the sling idea and also for watching.

To put those age rating on these toys they can’t change the plastic. If the called the collector items and didn’t have an age rating in them they could use harder plastics. 🤷‍♂️ probably a catch 22 for them.

Yeah it's a bit of a pickle really. Also some countries legally require softer plastics to aid in the prevention of choking hazards.

Hasbro definitely needs to go back to the original box window packaging and tray. The good news is marvel legends was the first to go back so most likely after black series the joes will be next.

It sucks that the Range Vipers axe doesn't peg onto the figure.... Yeah the bent guns are a consist QC issue which you would think that Hasbro would have corrected by now.

I have an update on the axe courtesy of Jay Troigo who commented on this video. It can be fixed to a point on the backpack. Have a scroll of the comments for his step by step instructions and thanks for tuning in.

Great review. My thing with this figure from the pics I’ve seen, is it looks a little skinny. Not saying it should be as bulky as Bazooka, but a bit thicker, how is it in hand? I found a similar backpack issue with Outback, it’s frustrating for the price point, especially when it’s such a pain to get them here in Australia at a premium every time
