For anybody having problems with the mouse doing any of the following: clicking not recognized, clicking and holding not working, pressing side back button creating a double click. I had all these issues I sometimes could fix them with hitting the mouse on the mouse pad. Overall it has been quite annoying and it came within 1.5 years after I got the mouse. I disassembled the mouse today and ordered parts. I think I might not need the parts. I'm pretty sure some of the issues come from the connector of the mouse button and main button being placed almost below the mouse wheel. It's being exposed at 1:02 in the video(kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmOymn-Ad66Jq5Y). In my case there was a lot of dirt on the exposed pins and they are oxidized. I cleaned the whole mouse and my problems disappeared. Since most buttons and the rest of the mouse was quite clean I'm quite certain that the problem comes from that connector. (That means you only have to disassemble to that point and not take everything apart.) I hope this helps. Also thanks for the video. It really helped me to do the cleaning!

Had to look up how to remove the j2 connector on another video, but this helped. Desoldering made me almost kms but finally installed Huano Silent Brown as LMB and Kailh GM 2.0 as RMB. Scroll wheel was kinda fixed by the WD-40 and Isopropyl bath I gave the mouse earlier. Thanks logitech for nothing.

When I put the buttons back in(like from 6:10), they push all the way down on the switches and are not springed back up. If I put hem in loosely without them clicking over the hole pins then they can click and work fine, but as soon as I move the back part down over the pins, the whole button is smashed down on the switches. I tried to look, but I can't see if there's something they must hook over while putting them back in.

Is there a reasoning why one can’t replace the thumb micro switches? And are they the cause of double click / mushiness?
@Escaldi
@Escaldi 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve yet to try and replace those, but I do have some waiting just in case. I’ve just not had a reason to replace them yet. I have heard of one instance where they have double clicked so it appears to be rare. If there is mushiness it’s most likely from the button assembly itself.
