Have you considered making the tungsten weights sub-diameter to the holes they are mounted in and putting a spring between them and the screw caps as a kind of inertial buffer? I know it would do almost nothing but if the goal is to be ridiculous it fits the comp bill and takes it a step funnier.

if you made the red dot mount a little thicker, you could probably chamfer the holes to use flush countersink screws, and you could also always slope or round the edges of the mount to offset the additional thickness. but i think this would solve the screws being proud of the mount, and may also address the mount wobble

Honestly think the frame mounted sight is a better idea than slide mounted. Particularly because it doesn't move backwards and forwards throwing your eye off as much and it is far easier on the optic in terms of force from the slide cycling. Also you don't have to change springs or slide weight.

After printing a few of these and running through testing, you need to either ad a fillet, or other type of support where the trigger guard meets the dust cover. For some reason, the structure actually thins out right there where it joins up. Every single one I have printed has broken right there.
@booliganshootingsports3 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I haven’t run into that on any of my tests and it’s the first I’ve heard of it. But it’s something you can easily add on the files yourself. I’ve release the STEP file and adding a fillet is easy to do with free software like Fusion360.
