I'm a huge fan of vpa in fact I have a bunch of the 150 and 200 grain single bevels but for deer I always run a sevr 1.5-2" mechanical and now the 1.5" hybrids mechanical way bigger hole waay better blod trails and is more than enuff for deer the only thing that my vpa gets used on now would be moose.

I like this broadhead looks like a sharper more reliable rage with better materials too. I just wish they included a practice head like they do with the mega meat and dead meat.

​@@loganmross it operates by sliding open, not pivoting around like the Rage. Similar yes...not the same at all. It's almost as if John Dudley maybe had a hand in designing both.

Except the retention system is completely different and the materials used are considerably higher quality. “They look similar therefore they are the exact same” simple minded comment

The megameat is not a durable head lol. They are weak and flimsy. I'm sure this one is as well. Well find out real soon when john lusk gets his hands on them lol.

What would be the plus or minus of using the T2 2 blade over the deadmeat or megameat 3 blade? I love my MegaMeats, but these are nice as well

Flew perfect out of my bow 1st in accuracy 3rd in penetration on my test surprisingly of 5 , 3 being fixed blades.

See that doesn't make much sense to me you got a company here that was always producing and promoting three bladed broadheads like the Mega Meat the dead meat and now they went back to a two-blade it's like they're going backwards

Cool review! I just received mine and love the construction. They are kinda hard to deploy so I’m sure that eats some energy. I’ll be sticking with my afflictor hybrids for mechanics and day 6 for fixed.

First review online guys? I waited so long on these I just went with 125 grain Deadmeats and 125 grain Beast broadheads for my Elk hunt in Colorado in September. Like to put some time behind the pin on new broadhead choices.

I highly encourage you to change your broadhead choice on elk to a fixed blade set-up. The Montec is a solid choice, I've killed at least 10 with it. Don't take my word for it, look up a video by ElkShape called Mechanicals on elk. Bottom line, mechanicals do work but there is less margin for error which could result in a dead, not recovered elk.
