In this episode, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at some facts, secrets, and history of one of gaming's biggest figures, Gabe Newell. Shamefully there is not much story behind it. CD Project is largest Polish publisher known from decent quality of releases. They studio RED was created to promote them, what mean that making the mony isn't they top priority = quality. Fun fact about me: I have a Portal 2 walkthrough book that’s signed by him in silver sharpie. His signature alone was worth like, 400$. I got the book because the employees there admired my test subject outfit that I wore for the tours they were doing. I still treasure it to this day.

1. I don't think that's depressing. I actually think that was really smart of him, and is good to keep in mind for new game devs looking to get into making games. Don't aim for perfection at the start, aim for great and get it out instead of aiming for perfection and wasting time. You can create a more perfect game later when you get the experience and exposure. 2. HL3 wasn't cancelled. It's just barely being worked on, if at all, and noone at valve is really saying much, if anything, about it.

Marc Laidlaw was the original writer of the Half-Life series, and he is an ex employee. He released his original idea for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 (or HL3) almost a year after he quit.
