I love the clean building walls in this city. No graffiti anywhere, unlike the European cities. So beautiful.

Oh come on !!🙄you dont know what you are saying ....European cities been there hundreds of years and dubai's palm jumeriah been build in 2011 its so very new And the place have been made/build for rich people so it means = clean walls / no rubish on streets ...keeping it tidy obviously 🙃👍

You're out of your fucking mind. A European city with graffiti and garbage (Naples being the perfect example) is still more beautiful than this sprawled out metropolis with no life. Buildings are far too tall for their own good, Soulless architecture, and ZERO character, but at least they've got clean walls...🙃

I like that catwalk from the trains station to the mall, it must be a great relief when it's 100 degrees outside to be shielded in a nice air-conditioned area away from the heat and sun.

There are people (Gabriel is one) who like it and a lot of people (I am one) who enjoy watching him do it. He has also figured out how to live on the road for the same or less money than "home", whatever home is. This lifestyle is not for me, and that is a good thing, as I have a family and local responsibilities, but watching Gabriel go where I never will is fun and a nice escape from the daily grind.

To be sure of something, you have to do it yourself......I did and still do some traveling and most of them had a share of shit in it. when i spend time and efforts on something, i expect it to great, not so so or even bad. 49 countries with a lot of them in bad season and also a lot with just a step in and out. Like the girl in last video enumerating all the countries she went in on so short time. Didn't see a great big smile on her face and she was white like a pint of milk. Go ahead if thats the way you like it. I don't and i won't. Dare to taste it? check out for simple, last Finnsnow videos in Philippines. In whos shoes would you better be in ? He choose a country, stick to it, made a really cute girl friend and really enjoy his time there. He encounter shit sometime but the reward is there.

Going to the top of tall buildings is usually a bit of a letdown for me, because you pretty much know what to expect, just an aerial view of a bunch of smaller buildings... I'd much rather enjoy the views from the top of a mountain 😊

Based on the video it seems like the time honored budget travel formula delivers a very affordable visit to Dubai. Find lodging and meals away from the city center and be ready to walk the miles. The hostel was $13 including breakfast? All those big $7 lunch plates. Pretty cheap.

maybe I'm going against the stream, but I live in Dubai since 4+ years and I find living here cheaper than other big metros like London, Toronto or the Bay Area cities. Ofc it's all about personal expenditure management, but many things like blue collar services, public transportation (taxis esp.), electronics, cars, mid-range restaurants, rents and cost of houses compared to year of building size and facilities, cinemas, fresh snacks, ... I find them way cheaper here than in other metros. What is really expensive are telecom bills (most expensive in the world) and alcohol in pubs/restaurants (as expected).

@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 7 жыл бұрын
No, I've had rooms for more than $100 back in the U.S. But I don't get those very often and not for very long, only a night or so if it's the only thing available. For example when I flew to Alaska then all the hostels in San Francisco were booked up, so I had to get a hotel room and it was a little more than $100.

Just so you know - I think you may have asked about "At the Top - Sky" package for the Burj, which is their premium service and costs over 500 dhs. It's pretty cool in that you get to go to the luxury sky deck on the 148th floor, where they serve you champagne and canapes - as opposed to the "regular" observation deck on the 125th floor with all the schlubs. ;) However, if you buy online for off peak hours it should only cost 130 dhs for the regular observation deck.

You got quoted that much because that was the price to get to the highest level, level 148. Most people would be satisfied with the views from levels 124 and 125 which cost around 130 dirhams at non-peak times.

Hi Gabriel and fellow followers, just a quick note and maybe a correction on hotel costs around the world. I'm an Australian and I can tell you I have traveled all over this wide brown land from down under and the minimum cost in any wayside hotel is $85.00USD a night and that is your basic hotel/motel, no breakfast nothing fancy and the price is creeping up towards to $90USD a night and that is anywhere as you travel. So in my humble onion Australia has some of the most expensive accomodation in the world, not Dubai
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 7 жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that Dubai was the second-most expensive city for accommodation. I don't remember now where I read that. But keep in mind that just because there are some good deals doesn't mean that's the typical price. IThere are lots of hotels downtown that will be much more expensive, hundreds or even thousands of dollars a night.
@1danacom
@1danacom 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gabriel, I'm sure your right there, yes we have some good deals here is Auz but overall the average price of single self contained room accomodation for the average traveler is creeping towards the $90USD a night price. We call them motels here and there are thousands of them, don't get me wrong the accomodations are good but not as good as the one you stayed in for $60USD a night. On average what you got for $60USD would cost $150USD a night here and I'm talking average budget motels/hotels or slightly better all two star accomodation. Once again thanks for your amazing video's and travels info, really appreciate your work Gabriel.

@GabrielTravelerVideos

I just used common sense. I knew that UAE was more of an open, tolerant society than Saudi Arabia for example. It's so multi-cultural here that there aren't as strict of cultural norms. If I went to Saudi Arabia or Iran then I would do more research about what I should and shouldn't do.

Congrats on the new camera and look forward to seeing the quality reflected in your vlogs. FYI I think there is a new hotel tourism tax that kicks in on Jan 1 in the UAE so not sure of the schedule but could see some room price increases.

Why don't you use airBnB's? They are cheaper than hotels and most of the time much bigger space.

Cool video. Woo hoo!! Got yourself a new camera. $137 for the Burj kahlifa. Fark that! I wouldn't pay for that amount either.

You might be thinking of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore? Unless there's one in Dubai that looks like that as well. I showed the one in Singapore in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXKtc3yhpbSto7s

Actually funny thing is in my next video when I go to Abu Dhabi, there's a building that looks quite similar. I only noticed it because you'd brought it up and then I saw it in my video footage while I was editing a little while ago. So I thought you might have been talking about that building.

On GetYourGuide that I recomended the price would have been around 50 $ and you could have walked pass the queue. Nice video, though :)
