In that vivid painting of the Byzantine street scene, you show the little girl holding a pomegranate. Strikingly, she was offering the fruit to a boy at the forefront of the scene sporting a backwards ball cap, sneakers and backpack, as if piercing through the veil of time to offer a gift in the present day. Another viewer already pointed this out, but I found it so surprising I had to mention it again. Very nice touch.

Sadly, while discussing something about a hat from Georgia (where he just came from or will go back to to get another hat), he walked past some great Roman History on the way to and thru the Cardo. The fact that the excavations are somewhat more recent than when they paintings and mosaics were created are 2 different things. Clearly, as it is very deep and many things were layered on top throughout the years, there is a lot of history worth reading up on before a visit! And it is a must-see!!

Hello Gabriel 3 weeks ago when you crouched through some tunnels in akko i recommended the Hiskia tunnel / Gihon Spring in jerusalem. It is a 500m long water tunnel from 700 b.c. carved deep into the rock under jersusalem. So when you are still in jerusalem something for your fascination with caves and tunnels. And don´t forget a flashligt. It is dark down there and no lights in this tunnel..... And don´t forget a camera in your backpack. This was my mistake last time i visited the tunnel and the water was high on this day.

Hi Gabriel. Good video. Minute 35:00..A small correction though. Syriac is not Syrian. It is Assyrian. Language is Aramaic...What Jesus spoke then. The Assyrian (Syriac) patriarchate is a stone's throw from where I grew up in the Lutheran Hostel/Hotel compound (where our house was) on ST Mark's Rd. Thanks for walking down that road (and letting me see it through your lens... if you make a right turn directly in front of the Lutheran Hostel's gate, which you did, you will end up in the Bazar.. which you did...and a left will take you up to the Jaffa gate on King David street...

No. Cyprus is not part of the Schengen Zone, not any part of the island. There are 4 countries in the EU who are not in Schengen, that is Cyprus, Ireland, Bulgaria and Romania. In these countries, the rule is 90 days per country. Cyprus is an independent island nation and is not able to join Schengen due to the ongoing dispute over Northern Cyprus.
