Gabriel, you really are a huge inspiration. You make people follow the path that they want and not that other people urged them to go. The lack of green really gets to me. I can't imagine living without trees or grass all around me.
@mbreeze22034 жыл бұрын
Its normal over here. This is why the west were shocked that people lived there. The weather the place. But it had many Empires and many great people came from the place that had nothing. Many civilization and the first civilizations also many sciences came from the middle-east. Oman actually is much greener then many gulf states. Some parts in Saudi is green and some parts in Yamen. The coastle states have less and less green , Kuwait has no greens but has alot of oil. Iraq has many parts with greens but many that don't the places that doesn't have anything and are usually hot are the parts with oil. This is why Eroupe is poor in that aspact but Africa is alot richer then most places because of that heat that can cause pressure in the earth that can make valuable stuff. But people here love it, we usually say we would day protecting one piece of sand grain in this place, even before all the discoveries, people died to protect their homes that look like nothing to other people. We also have the best location which in the in the middle of Erouoe, Africa and Asia. Three continents, there was also the silk road that we used to travel to China and India and many other places from. People really tried to live and you will always find people call the toughest places home.

I've been to Nizwa : ) It was years ago. A friend and I rented a jeep and everyday we drove up into the mountains and meandered our way through. It was truly a 'National Geographic' experience. We saw alot of places that were exactly like those ruins you walked through, plus some exceptionally tiny towns in the middle of those mountains. Well worth seeing. Well done, Gabriel! You found Old Firq! There are a number of these places in and near Nizwa. I know even most Western expats who live here don't know they exist. If you've visited somewhere like Jibreen Castle beforehand to see an intact building, you get a better idea of what you're seeing. I think you were in the right with the taxi fare - he had a built-in cushion and should have got his friend to get a phone number. Note to everyone when travelling in Oman: have a phone number. Google Maps in often out by half a kilometre or so. If you visit Muscat without a car, stay along the main highway (Sultan Taboos St) or in Mutrah. You have access to very cheap buses and shared taxis and minibuses.

Hi gabriel. i have a question for you. is there anyway to travel whole world free of cost :)
@tourreport98216 жыл бұрын
anyone can answer if you have any way to do so. your feedback will be appreciated. thanks
@GabrielTravelerVideos6 жыл бұрын
I'll give you the honest answer: if you're asking the question, then no, there isn't. Technically,yes, you could travel almost for free (other than passport and visa fees). But doing so would require a style of hardcore traveling that, if you're asking the question, you're probably not prepared for. It would mean being homeless, finding free places to sleep such as through couch surfing with people or friends or else sleeping out, it would mean finding free food in dumpsters and working at restaurants for a free meal or finding food banks for homeless people, hitchhiking to get around, etc. So unless you're ready to jump into the homeless lifestyle and all the difficulty that involves it's probably not for you. However you can work in foreign countries doing work exchange, which doesn't require getting a work visa and can cover your room and board. So that's one way to live abroad essentially for free, though you'll still need money to pay for a plane ticket and other travel expenses. There's WWOOFing and websites like workaway.info and helpx.net where you can find work exchange opportunities. But if you want to travel around the world, you can do it for cheap, but realistically you're still going to need some money.
@tourreport98216 жыл бұрын
Thanks allot gabriel. i really appreciate your honest opinion. actually i am new in travelling field and you are in my list whom i follow most :) again thanks allot for your honest feedback.

Seriously, you need to download the app called "Here WeGo" in Google Play Store. It's been downloaded over 10 million times, AND it's been named "Editors' Choice" by Google as being the best in their opinion. It's the only one I use, period.
@GabrielTravelerVideos7 жыл бұрын
Actually I did, because someone had mentioned it before, might have been you. I hadn't found the hotel on the map before I left, so I don't think it would have come up without a connection once I was in the taxi, right? I hadn't expected that finding the hotel was going to be so difficult. I figured I would get dropped off somewhere in Muscat and then get a ride with a local taxi driver who probably would have known where it was, since I also had the address written down. And the taxi drivers always have google maps as well. So it was kind of a perfect storm of ending up with a taxi driver who wasn't from the area, didn't know the city and didn't have a smartphone.
@GlobalAdventurer7 жыл бұрын
Gabriel Traveler You don't need to lookup locations prior to using the app. All you need to do is download the country beforehand. I just download every and all countries I think I will go to so I don't have to think about it. After that you can find just about anything even in airplane mode. I keep my phone on airplane mode while away from hotel WiFi because it helps saves the battery. But, the main thing I use the app for is simply to show me where I'm located at any given time (while in a taxi or bus,) and can see the major streets around the area so it helps me orient myself for when I decide to walk around outside the area. Once you arrive at a hotel, just press and hold the HOUSE icon and it will set itself to your home address (hotel) so if you get disoriented and turned around while you're out, just touching the house icon takes you right back home. Even when you get off track and don't follow the commands it will recalculate and find alternative routes. Good luck!

That is an old village which is constructed using clay supported with burned one, as the building material is replaced and the people income is completely changed, new areas are constructed near to the old one so the old one is abandoned.
