I think Greg needs more conditioning, I don’t want to be a hypocrite and act like I can move with 265 gold medal material but he’s the only person I’ve seen consistently get to Gable’s legs. As the match went on he ran out of power to finish and chase.

@lasvegasloner46212 жыл бұрын
Pretty much spot on in my opinion. I couldn't explain it better. I see Greg as being a huge threat after Gable, not as dominant maybe (Steveson is the type that comes once in a long time) but man... Kerkvilet is getting better in every area. There will always be others but they seem to repair, improve, or cobble together one strength at a time while Greg is smooth with transitions everywhere.

That adjustment in the 3rd to get the takedown around 7:52 was incredible. Kerk through out 3 shots to force stall/ get a quick 2. Gable feints, baiting the shot and snaps through it for 2.

it's still sad to see gable retire, he couldve been the next cael sanderson or jordan burroughs but I'm happy that i lived in a time where i got to see this guy wrestle. Never have i seen someone so dominant in any sport before where it didn't feel like he had 0 competition even at the world level. But I'm glad he got to end it on his terms unlike so many other athletes.

Yeah he's only 6'1 fighting and wrecking bigger dudes at every level. Can you imagine him in 8th grade fighting senior varsity wrestlers? His only loss in school came as an 8th grader in the state championship. Kinda like his college career..he needed that loss to Cassar to fuel his fire and take training serious because he would just steamroll through guys without putting in 100% effort.

@@BrendanSlob True. He was cruising through basically all the other guys and then Cassar, who was on a mission in 2019, beat him on a last second takedown. One of the few times Gable has ever faced someone of his own stature and athleticism.
