I just wanna say this (I am in no way a good wrestler) but this was a very technical match. Reachin' for the leg on a tie-up isn't a shot. Picking your shots carefully is not stalling. The step on the hand isn't wrestling and people who say they do all the time are the same ones that lose to top-tier opponents. The takedown at the end was the right call because RBY still had control of him to the point where he couldn't get up. The last thing is RBY is a monster from the open but, ties up with ADS to keep the center because Austin will push forward in a good stance to look for the stalling call. @@helloitsme98 no it’s not. It’s categorizing them. He is the best of the non champions. Like for example there have been many bests but Cael is considered the best of the best.

He's never even made it to the finals. You just said He's better than all the 2nd place wrestlers, when the highest he placed was 3rd. Do you understand what "best", or "second best" means? You could accurately say that he was the "third best" wrestler in his weight, this year, to not win a title... just like all other wrestlers who placed 3rd in their perspective weight classes. Up one weight class - Bryce Meredith was WAAAAYYYYYY better than Desanto, and never won a title. I would definitely categorize him as "one of the best to not win a title". Daniel Dennis of Iowa - 133 lb. 2010 2nd place NCAA finals - WAAAAAYYYY better than Desanto ... lots of examples of who was better than Desanto.

RBY deserves multiple stall calls in this match. Desanto is the truth. That take down is so questionable too.

@daniel gotta agree....that takedown at the end was a super tough call. I'm of the opinion that austin's reputation was what ultimately led to that takedown.

Coaches and wrestlers need to figure out how to score on Penn State wrestlers and how to stop be ridden like donkeys by Penn State guys. They have been almost unstoppable at both It’s really unbelievable.

Once he got his head out and grabbed the far ankle it was a takedown

@@christopherroth7239 he never got his head out. It was stuffed under the whole time. When he eventually did get his head out he had already lost the far ankle. No points. Neutral start.

@@JPerry-jw9ik maybe my explanation was not correct but the Iowa corner didn't argue it (and we all know the Btands never miss an opportunity to argue calls) I think it's safe to say it was a correct call.
@JPerry-jw9ik2 жыл бұрын
@@christopherroth7239 well after the call was made Desanto stopped fighting it - definitely giving up the 2 after that. If no points had been awarded he would have continued fighting it. I'm guessing that's why it wasn't challenged. If he had kept fighting to the whistle they would have challenged it and he would have won it. Just my two cents - I wrestled for 20 years or so... But have never officiated. That is a job I would NOT want.

Never see any sportsmanship. I understand it peer pressure and the like, but someone has to lose. Getting humbled is a good thing , we’ve got it upside down.
