I agree with you Charlie!!! I think the best thing that's happened to Gabriel has been not winning AGT. I'm of the impression that Gabriel doesn't need to do anymore singing competitions. He's going to focus now on his career and use the publicity and global notoriety to catapult himself onto the global stage he so deserves. Gabriel is a global artist and his stage is the world now. Oh. You do know that Gabriel does tons of Gospel songs, right? Most are in his language, Portuguese, but a few are not. Have you ever considered reviewing them for your Sunday Gospel show? He has a few in English: “Oh Happy day”, that he did about five yrs ago, and he recently did a fantastic version of “The Goodness of God”. This one made me cry. I encourage you to do these two on that show. You can hear his potential (and more) in “Oh Happy day” and I already commented about for former. Check them out if you haven’t already!

Long live Gabriel! Gabriel, the Greatest Upgrader of all time! The most astonishing, beautiful, mesmerizing, evocative, tuneful, meltingly warm singer of them all! I just adore him. And I agree with what you said about AGT…my thoughts exactly…after I calmed down and gave it some non-reactive thought. My daughter and I were even talking about it before the axe fell…that we didn’t know if he should win because AGT would try and turn him into their trained monkey, and he probably wouldn’t be able to do these wonderful videos anymore. Yes, we’re selfish. But I do think he’ll benefit in the long run by being overlooked. I, personally think that AGT is more like a circus audition - strange and entertaining acts that don’t necessarily fit the mainstream, and the choice of a dog beating out human talent kind of proves that. I also agree that the show has lots of machinations going on behind the scenes that affect the decisions made. And, I also think, while Gabriel deserved better from the show, it has actually enhanced his singing, if that were possible. His last three covers since he left the show have been…well, it’s kind of like he stepped into an elevator on his way out and went up several levels instead of down - fantastic and, I agree, they show him with even more confidence and drive if that’s possible. Anyway, I’ve come out the other side to being grateful Gabriel DIDN’T win, as I continue to bless his trajectory. He is simply THE BEST!

I thought he would make it to the finals. AGT is sitting on another performance of Gabriel singing a Jennifer Hudson song. Simon asked him to sing again during his time on the audition stage. AGT does not use auto tune or pitch perfect; the strictly singing shows in the States now. You are absolutely right about these shows owning the winner. The best thing for Adam Lambert was not winning American Idol, I was pissed back then. Oh, Jennifer Hudson coming in 7th place on American Idol was a whopper of a surprise. Gabriel did a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song”, and blew that one out of the park. It is loaded with Gabriel’s sparkling vowels. ❤️✌🏼

I also love his beautiful voice, including his accent. It adds charm and spice to his overall presentation, which is always mind blowing and magical. I also notice a new maturity in his eyes and stance, which certainly makes sense considering the HUGE milestones he just accomplished in his first trip to Los Estados Unidos!
