I'm literally going through the same thing at the moment. It's hard to remain disciplined with all the distractions and invitations to have a drink when you actually know that you do the stupidest things when you are under the influence. I've been 3 weeks sober and Fluffy has motivated me to make it atleast 2 years. Light is at the end of tunnel, right next to happiness.

Not sure if you’re gonna read this at all, but you should look into the Vivitrol shot or Naltrexone pills. They’ll really help you with urges and keep you from drinking. I fought alcoholism too. I went to rehab, and got on Vivitrol and it saved my life bro. Best of luck man, hit up some AA meetings as well. Just sit there and listen, and constantly go. The blue book and 12 steps will honestly save your life. Remember bro… alcohol isn’t the problem; you’re the problem. Fix your mental health, and you’ll figure it all out.

Their is a sad aura when Fluffy talks about his breakup. It mostly has to do with the fact that I grew up with all of his jokes. Some of my favorite jokes are of his girlfriend and Frankie. But it sucks to hear how all of that fell apart. I love you Fluffy, i’m glad your changing your life for the better and i hope to see you at one of your shows.

I've just recently quit drinking at 39 after drinking for 23 years. I've never felt better. My relationships have with people improved or are existent now, my health has improved dramatically, I sleep better, eat better, have more energy, more money, hobbies and interest. It's crazy how much your life improves when you cut out that poison. Also, I don't miss the debilitating hangovers.

I've been through so much and I'm finally back to myself. Mental helf is so important and makes us different. We change but when u get through it there is no better feeling. All I can say to help anyone is talk to someone anyone that u can trust u will find there is people who care. The longer u leave it the worse it gets once u start that's the road to the end. I'm just a working class man nothing special but I done it and u can to just take the first step. Love to everyone

I'm trying to get back into disciplining myself but the best thing I tell myself when I feel like I want to drink a beer or get fast food I say "It will be there tomorrow" or "I'll get it tomorrow ". When you get into that mindset with crap food it eventually becomes routine. Much love.

Wow this is Crazy! I thought I was the only person to realize this. I quit drinking and smoking on Christmas eve last year (It was actually sometime before but knew I would want to celebrate Christmas Eve) and didn't think I would make it a year. This is very important to do. I made it through the year and watching this video is my realization that I did something that I could've missed completely. It was easy because God met me half way and it is also how I know God is real. Here's to another year of progress and self reflection. I think everyone needs to restart sometimes because it's crazy how much things change with a slight difference.

There are high functioning alcoholics who never drank on the job, but drink after and days off. My ex was a binge drinker, he wouldn't drink for months, then drink almost a whole bottle of Patron and end up in the hospital. If it's screwing up your health, your relationships, your decision making, it's time to rethink your choices. Good for Gabriel for dealing with his baggage.

agree. therapy I feel like, helped me organize my thoughts and not have my head be such a chaotic mess. helps when u can actually identify that u are feeling something and what it is youre feeling. 🌟 I remember at one point before therapy the guy I liked/was hanging out with was telling me he was gonna chill w another girl later. and later on in my journal, I actually wrote, ' I think that may have hurt my feelings. ' ... like I wasn't even sure what I was feeling or couldn't admit or identify it. (cuz BTW it definitely hurt my feelings, A LOT!)

@@yateso9441 it's the unmanageablility in life that is attempted to be taken care of by having drinks. It's the feeling that I can't do x or go to y without having a drink or a couple of drinks. It's the need to drink before I could be social then the inability to say ok that's enough let's go home after 2 or 3.

@@yateso9441 having a few drinks on the weekend doesn't make u an alcoholic, the inability to enjoy a weekend without having a few drinks does.... If ur just having a couple of drinks to unwind then by all means my good man say cheers and enjoy.... However if you feel that you CAN'T enjoy urself without it then u might have a dependancy..... But at the end of the day to owns self be true.

Not true at all. This is coming from somebody who grew up overweight. Mentally I had no issues, but I did enjoy food and that was my problem. Lust/gluttony/greed can be detrimental to anybody. If you're not taught to have self-control, it will certainly be a sin that keeps you in bondage. Eventually through prayer, God delivered me from overeating but it had nothing to do with mental illness.
