The game has a lot to do with how Capitalism/Corporations affect smaller communities, and run smaller businesses into the ground. The main thing to rebuild the valley is to rebuild the community centre. Also there's an overarching story with each of the villagers that make up one larger story as a whole. The endgame goal is to "achieve perfection," which is how you get the game's ending.

I just started watching Gab's channel after seeing her play minecraft with Jack and saw her have #41 of a stardew playthrough up... came back to episode 1 and noticed they are all ~2 hours long. Very fun to watch someone new enjoy such a wonderful game. I just wanted to mention something that many people seem to misunderstand for some reason. Luck doesn't affect what you get from geode, not even the geode itself determines it, it's predetermined in the code at the moment you make a save file. This means that if you would open one and get copper ore, but decide to sell it instead, when you open the next one after that you'll still get the same exact copper ore. Luck affects the drop rate of geodes when you break rocks, but not what you get from those geodes, so best to do it on bad luck days to save good luck ones for other stuff. Have fun further :D

This is my 3rd time watching you play stardew, Gab! its 100% turned into my comfort series and I will now watch it probably every couple of months 😅 this game was introduced to me in a difficult time and I immediately fell in love with it. I would not stop playing. I started about a month or two before you, and once you started uploading I would play with your video alongside me!
