If anyone's genuinely curious. As a former member of the gacha community the thing about not being able to tell if two people are siblings or lovers started years ago where kids who made gacha videos would tell their audience who the couples were by giving them obviously similar characteristics so you would see the two characters as a pair. Like if two characters were 100% yellow and another two characters were 100% blue. It made sense in my brain at the time, but it does make the gacha community come off as one giant pile incest lovers.

I’m not into gacha personally, sometimes I mess with it ironically, but that’s about it. However, I don’t automatically hate everyone in the gacha community. I know some people do, but that’s silly. At its core, gacha is a fine idea- a fun little thing to let people get their creativity out by dressing up characters, making stories, etc etc., and I think those sorts of things are important for people to have access to. It really is a shame so many members of the community turned out that way. Entertaining to watch, sure, but a shame. How did it even happen?

Interestingly the screenshot shown at 7:04 , is actually from a gacha life mini movie I’ve happened to see. (Let me explain that I do not regularly enjoy the classic reused plots of the “my alpha blah blah balh” mini movies, I just so happened to be scrolling and little old me thought “hey, seems like a nice concept, might as well click”) It’s basically called something around the lines of “how the bad boy broke miss perfect/kind/idk”. It explains how the grandma died and her last wish to her daughter, *the brown hair girl in the screenshot*, was to “always be kind to everyone”. Which you can see, obviously backfired as later in the story her boyfriend ended up framing her for a murder like crime, Causing her to rot in jail for life because she was always “so kind”, and falsely claimed guilty for it to save her boyfriend. But of course, that’s not where it ends. Later in the story, a blonde detective girl discovered the brown haired girls case, and decided “hey let’s look into it”. So her and her little scooby doo like squad went searching for people who knew the brown hair girl, and those who knew her, including *dun dun dun* the now Elderly boyfriend who framed her, Who somehow still got bitches despite being a total asshole, and is shown with grandkids. Blah blah blah, the elderly bad boy admits he was “so so sorry and feels so bad” for ruining this teenagers life. Why is it that whenever I come across people reacting to gacha cringe people in this same community as me go into the comment section and apologize for this type of behavior yet the creators don’t seem to care. Just hope they don’t think all of us gacha kids are cringe, bc it never began like this in the first place. It used to be such a nice community where we would create funny stories and just be ourselves, but then gacha cringe, heat, vore, etc, came into the picture and ruined it for us. Idk who started this, but whoever did, thanks for ruining the community. All because of you, were judged and looked down upon. I hope your ashamed of yourself.

Hey fun fact, I'm the original poster of that post. The reason I was so aggressive in said post is because bait is an overposted and banned topic on the r/Gachalifecringe subreddit.
