+Cayley Jameson i think you and them are underestimating how many people would pay money to watch a broadway show online or as a dvd. especially hamilton which presents itself as "a story told by america now" is probably doing itself a disadvantage by only letting super rich people see it. hamilton will only be able to have the cultural value and impact everyone says it has once it has been available to the people who will never make it to new york... (i mean, yeah, people can listen to the cast album is not the same)

There's vip passes, autopgraphs, merch they can sell at the theatre, etc. Releasing a movie would hurt that income flow because not as many people would come if they could just watch it at home. For youtube all they could do is make ad rev and plug in a merch store or patreon it's not as lucrative.

ok after several rewatches of the first act up to this part, ive come to the conclusion that the beard mustve been frickin hard to act through. the worst of it is in this one, where curt's "but is it really?" act comes across very awkward and, like, half-slurred. he also slurs some of his words in Spy Again and in the snippet he sings during Cynthia's song. idk if they glued or taped that beard on but whatever they did was probably inhibiting his ability to move his face too much for fear of it falling off huge props to curt for powering through the bearded segment, still it was probably for the best that he didnt spend the whole musical that way haha
