You’ll get it just keep pulling it up and using it any time you pull a pressure waveform and it’ll start becoming more clear especially once you see a few known bad issues that you can correlate it to. I remember the first time I used one it looked very busy and noisy but after a little while it became more and more intuitive.

the GADGETS playlist Over the years u have brought our level of thinking much higher. A vibration is not just an annoyance, it has a frequency which we can observe by means of an oscilloscope. The intake manifold is filled with pulses that resonate and can have an effect on other cylinders as their valves open, or fail to do so. Many of these effects can b observed with the tools u help us to understand. Translating pulses, pressures, and vibrations into frequency and magnitude as observed on the scope is the object of many of your lessons. So a dead miss on cylinder 3, a failed intake or exhaust valve is going to upset the relatively smooth flow of air thru the engine. And relating that to the firing order by syncing a cylinder is an invaluable diagnostic aid. Getting that info on a second channel that in real time is relating to the first channel is the key. Being able to explain to others helps us to ground the understanding in our own mind. Fun and games in the OK corral
@theGADGETSplaylist4 жыл бұрын
@@billrimmer5596 the exhaust manifold resonances (tuning) would be interesting to explore also. I toy with a few ideas now and then on how to explore it. It's just a step step too far...for now:)

Thank you for teaching. I am confused because when I saw this I would have thought that this engine had an issue because of the peak amplitude differences of the vacuum draws. To me cylinder 7 peak is almost double that of cylinder 3 and the positive swing after cylinder 7 intake closes appears larger than the others. Admittedly I'm struggling a bit to decode this since the overlay always shows 2 cylinders in each cycle. I realize this may be more than you can explain in a comment. Thanks again.

I suppose it would, Jim. The idea was just to get a sync without consideration to waveform quality. But put a chunk of copper near these COP and we can't help but get a decent secondary.

Hello Denis I saw in a place that it is not necessary to use a motor vacuum transducer equipped with a map sensor, the only thing to do is change the oscilloscope coupling to AC and capture the MAP signal directly, use the sensor negative to minimize noise. Have you tested this type of reading? I will test this weekend. greetings Osvandré

@theGADGETSplaylist7 күн бұрын
thank you for your kind comment Jose Martin Loren is the actual developer of HScope. There's a lot of work involved in adding support to a model. VATO is expensive and is still only 8bit vertical resolution. Martin already supports Hantek 6074 which also has 4 channels and only 8bit resolution but only costs 1/4 the price.
@9josealfonso2637 күн бұрын
Yes , I had a 6074 and gave it to my brother, and purchased a VATO for the battery that is included and wasn't too expensive, 220 actually, work great, don't crash like 6074 sometimes using the 4 channels for long periods. Also, I have HS502 ,amazing scope, but many times, I needed a 4 channel. Thanks for the reply .Thanks for your support.
