Didn't think films like these got released in cinemas, which certainly explains why no one watches them.
@AnimatedAF2 ай бұрын
Yeah, its only really because I work in a cinema that I'm aware of all these animated films that come and go. This one is such a rare standout, usually i wouldn't go out of my way to watch them.

This is a fantastic video! I didn't watch the spoilers because I am wanting to check this out myself first, but not only do I enjoy your style of animation and editing, but it's fantastic hearing about these hidden gems of movies! Makes me sad that some of them don't get the attention they deserve, but videos like this helps get word out! Thank you so much and keep up the awesome work!

Unfortunately, a lot of these types of indie films don't get shown down here where I live unless it's for a film festival, and even that's pretty exclusive. Since it's a European film, the chances of it being shown here are even smaller. I'll see if I can find a way to see it, find the Spanish version maybe.

WOW!!! I’m discovering that there are a surprising amount of animated movies I’ve never seen. I majored in animation in college, and I felt I’d see a LOT of films. But just tonight I’ve learned about 3 new films I’ve never seen!

Note making this comment early in video because want to say at first I thought this was a straight to demand/dvd film not an actual movie release one. Sure sadly I have been mostly watching youtube/hulu/etc but figured you hear at least one thing about this but nope. Honestly curious if I would if if I was watching cable. Sadly...still a bit nervous going back to theaters since covid so yea, but tha ks for making the video and bringing the film to my attention.

I would have loved to seen him age. And slowly watch him go from obnoxious Leroy Genkins 10 year old and have him slowly mature in skill, experience and sensibility into older mentoring teen trainer, similar to like Brock, Tracy, or Cilian, and maybe into a goofy twenty something like Jessie and James or Friede. It would have been nice for the series to end with an older Ash coming out of the woods to see a new group of trainers struggling to set up camp or running from wild pokemon, with a "You kids alright? That was dangerous!" Or having to teach them a survival skill...And just like tag along with them for a little while, so it feels like a continuation and passing baton of older traveling companions who help new trainers grow, before the start of a new series, so we kind of end like, we're going to see some new trainers without Ash, but we know hes out there probably makings sure new 10 year old trainers aren't killing themselves because they decided to go to bed soaking wet or something. I suppose that's why I loved the companions so much because they always seemed to grow, and if they did come back they always seemed older and more mature and wiser. Like when Brock and Misty came back, they felt like they had their shit together, and that was what made me love them even more as a kid and a young adult.

I think (don't quote me on this) the distributors pay per screening, so i guess if they only buy a handful of screenings per cinema the budget for a movies release can be smaller.

I'm sorry... do you consider Zootopia to be _subtle_ about it's take on racism? Because the bad guys weren't literally goose-stepping in rank like in the Lion King or something? The _real_ Lion King, I feel should go without saying, but if I actually _don't_ say it, someone will bring up that the new one cut that scene.
