5:31 For those that want to do this but don't know how, you can, but you'll need a few things. -Wire -Wire stripper (you can use nail clippers. Just press on it gently, DONT CUT IT, then pull) - 2 pin JST Male and Female connectors with the right crimp terminals (measure the size and pitch of the JST from the kit) (the pitch is length between one contact center and the next) -crimping tool (you can use small long nose pliers; this will be a little tough but it'll do the job) -Soldering Wire/Lead -Soldering Iron steps: 1. strip both ends of the wires (just a small bit, let's say half a grain of jasmine rice. Why jasmine rice, you ask? idk in which part of the world you are but if you end up having basmati rice... well shit, just go 1/3 of that. I just made this unnecessarily long but fuck it), one end for the crimp terminals and the other for soldering to the male JST 2. Using one end of the stripped wire, crimp by using the crimping tool (or the long nose pliers) 3. Insert the crimp terminals into the female JST 4. Solder the other end of the wires to the male JST *(MAKE SURE OF THE PLACEMENT OF THE WIRES IF POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE BEFORE SOLDERING)* Easy lazy step (no JST required): Fuck everything and just cut in the middle of the wire of the kit. Strip both ends and extend it using the wire you have and solder it together

@@DX16 Something like this would be ridiculously cheap and easy to manufacture, even moreso without the LEDs. There isn't any complex manufacturing or engineering that goes into making a few flat plastic plates with a little sci-fi detail and some connection holes and pegs.

I have quite a few of these. Highly recommend. As far as I've tried, you can't connect more than two sets of lights together. So they'll be powered in pairs. As for stacking them, it's not possible out of the box, but I did upturn a pair to put on top of another pair, making a double height hangar. It fits PG.

If you want something far cheaper but also essentially more bare-bones, apparently Daiso does sell modular hanger display sets for pretty cheap. Its rather small and can only fit normal HGs on its own, but it can join up with more of other ones on the X and Y axis, not so much the Z Axis though.

A background choice might be a black sheet with pinholes or white LEDs. Give it that space station vibe. Maybe put some clear plastic in the holes to make it look like it's windows.

An easy way to do something like this with any base structure is to just use fairy lights. You can get them as battery-powered or USB, or sometimes both, and could even get them with different colors (red and yellow for warning lights and whatnot). Then just drill a few small holes into the structure and push the lights in through the back. Voila, lighted base.

I mostly agree, but I'm sure you can do something cool with equipment like Striker packs, Core Gundam armors, or the FA Unicorn's/Perfectability's weapons with a hanger display.

I dont use hangar display or even action stand, but stack my kits vanilla standing but arranged chest-to-chest/shoulder to shoulder due to limited space. And you will be too, if you buy at least one kit per week, and have more than 500 gunplas, and hundreds more of non gunpla mechs kit.
