Lfm tip. While you are still in rookies, ignore track position and focus on sr. Rookie races are a nightmare. Set a goal to get your sr up as fast as possible. Little touches affect your sr. Track limits (even no time gained) affects your sr. People with low sr are psychos on track, (no matter the elo) get out of there so you can enjoy better racing.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
See I actually learnt this the other day that Rookie is completely ranked with SR and not ELO. I am full focus on SR now as I want out as soon as possible. Didn't know that all off tracks affected SR so badly as well. You really have to be super clean don't you! Thanks heaps for the tip.
@luizarthurbrito3 ай бұрын
@@BradleySettersMotorsport you can open your laps after the race has finished on lfm and notice you get a 1x for every off track. There was a race I got negative sr even though I had zero touches with other people. A couple every race won't affect your sr much, bumping other people is way more relevant, but there you go
@jansmejkal80883 ай бұрын
@@BradleySettersMotorsport always read the rules! Offtrack gains 1x, a touch 4x. Under 3x you get SR boost (varies by SR standing). Clean race gives max 0.45 SR, normal is 0,18 SR per race without boost. Mostly ca 8x or 12x cancels SR boost. Get over 5 SR to get out of rookies after 10 races

100% jump in and give it a crack! If you can get above that 80 safety rating in ACC then you are definitely ready to give LFM a go. It’s great to see the perspective of new drivers I started my LFM career about 5 months ago and I’m really enjoying it. Thank you for being patient and being such a fair racer.

This is really cool to see a new driver's perspective, I've been sim racing on LFM/ACC since last December , and here's a few tips that should help you and the others watching the video. 1. Setups help tremendously, I use GO setups, if you can get their subscriptions or have a buddy with their setups. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using those. 2. For track knowledge/brake markers , refer to Track guides and Hot laps. I typically watch GO or HYMO hotlap videos. 3. Learn how to trailbrake ASAP, just about every corner you take, you will be trailbraking so train yourself even it makes you slower for the meantime. 4. Safety rating is key, getting out of rookie series is a must. Do not push your battles hard, and drive safe. 5. For the 45min+ races, practice your pit entry. You can lose time if you dont pull into the pitbox correctly. (If you're car gets repositioned in the box, you lost time.) Good luck on the races everyone and Godspeed!

Also ABS 1 is probably too low and will leave you locking up often. I recommend using and abusing these assists and slowly moving them down. Few setup videos will get you right! Great racing, shame to see it go down that way with the fuel. There is a ton of time to be found in strategy. Keep it up!

Nice video! The fuel thing happened to the best of us. For me is to do a checklist every time you get in the grid. Check fuel, tires, brakes and even if the race doesn't need to pit or change tires - always press the "use current pressure" button. From what I saw with your driving style, you'll get very fast and someday you probably will be with the top drivers. For now, keep getting new information on the track, car setups and the meta so you can focus on the race. And most important in the Rookie Series, focus mainly on gaining SR instead of position. Every track cut, even a "no time gain" will count as x1 incident point. Meanwhile every collision to another car, wall, and just a slight rubbed to the barrier will cost you x4 incident points.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the encouragement and the feedback. I have thought about a checklist, and will probably design something to hopefully share at some point. As there is so many little things to think about before and between sessions. I have only just been made aware of how small off tracks affect SR, and how ELO means nothing in Rookie. So I am all focus now to be clean and get out of Rookie ASAP! Lots to learn about setup, but everyone here has been so helpful to that. So thanks again!

I entered sim racing last Christmas but via iRacing and MX5’s. Watching your video, it seems like ACC and the cars in there are a little more user friendly in terms of how stable they are; you took some real hits there without spinning out. Tire pressures were slightly too low and brake bias a bit too high + you kept braking too late for T1 and missing the apex. Other than that your driving was very nice for someone coming back from a long break :) The true challenge in these races is navigating all the chaos and carnage, since people often hunt position like rabid dogs but they don't have the car control or the racecraft to make the move done without colliding. A good thing to practice apart from the normal racing line is how to drive offline and where to brake in those situations, so you don't end up washing wide when making an overtake
