Great reaction, Lyle! So fun to watch you react to Gaithers, David, Mark, Guy, etc. You've come a long ways in enjoying Southern Gospel, since you heard David Phelps singing 'O Holy Night' two years ago! (What a great reaction that was!) I grew up listening to The Statesmen, Blackwood Brothers, etc. Have always loved Southern Gospel more than any other music. Music for the ear and the soul. Keep up the good work!

THANK YOU for sharing this music. I had seen this several years ago & I laughed just as much today as then. Jake Hess(bad wig) is an icon in Southern Gospel. He sang with The Statesmen, founded The Imperials, sang with The MastersV. And toured with The Gaither Reunions after Bill & Gloria started those. Some awesome, awesome voices in gospel music.

The funny thing is, in his younger days with the Statesmen and the Imperials, Jake wore very good wigs. In fact, you often see a comment: Oh, Jake with hair. No, that was Jake with a good wig. At some point, perhaps he said, I’m not fooling anybody, so I’ll just wear these things.

I absolutely love The Gaither Vocal Band! Bill and Gloria write amazing songs. There are a lot of funny ones as well as serious too. For funny you need to check out cool Water with Jake Hess, and The Fourth Man with Jake Hess, Tim Lovelace, George Yonce, and Rex Nelon. 2 of my favorites.

I have asked Lyle to watch Mark Lowry -Home Depot/An Atheist’s Faith/Mary Raising Jesus(Comedy/Live) a few times already, but even though Lyle asked one time to let him know about more of Mark Lowry comedy, so far Lyle has yet to show this video. The way Lyle laughs and enjoys Mark’s comedy, I thought he would have showed it already. Also, Tim Hawkins(Christian comedian/singer/songwriter), Tim’s video: Alternative Cuss Words - Tim Hawkins. It is also hilarious😊.

I have left comments here on yt asking Lyle, every few months, to Please show Mark Lowry - The Home Depot/An Atheist’s Faith/Mary Raising Jesus(Comedy/Live), AND I have commented that it is ONE video, and that Guy Penrod & David Phelps are sitting there on stage with Mark, BUT so far he(Lyle) has not shown it for his Reaction videos. Just as he (Lyle) has not shown and done a Reaction to Sandy Parker singing “A Baby Changes Everything” music video. I even commented that Sandy Parker is the daughter-in-law of Ivan Parker who was part of The Gaither Homecoming Videos. @terrimorrison3164, Have you watched the music video of Sandy Parker singing “A Baby Changes Everything”, and IF you have, didn’t Sandy do a very beautiful job singing this song? In my view, this is the best Gaither personnel in terms of blend. That’s Jonathan Pierce singing tenor. Of course, there was only one Jake Hess‼️ This song is a signature Jake song.

There’s a better version of this song from 1992-94 with Michael English, Mark Lowry, Terry Franklin, Gloria Gaithersburg, and Bill Gaithersburg. This group worked together better for this song.
