This is from the New Orleans DVD called "I Do Believe," ca. 2001. It is one of my favorites. Bill, David, Guy, and Mark were all at their height of vocal prowess. There are a LOT of great songs on this DVD.

I am 85 years old and grew up singing all these hymns my whole life and I really do appreciate you keeping them alive. Always love to see your reaction to David and the vocal Band. I cry from emotions every time I hear it. The story telling and the crescendo that they portray. It is so true we all are sinners saved by grace AMEN. Thank you for doing this. I also love it when you do David Phelps. He is one of a kind. Gets God's message out to a T. I love these 4 guys portraying GVB. In my opinion they were the best. All because of David Phelps and I love Mark Lowry and Guy Penrod and of course Bill Gaither that puts it all together.

Thank you Lyle. As a fan of over 20 years, I believe this is in the top 5 of the hundreds of songs written by Bill & Gloria (with M. Humphries). Also think David & Guy's harmony toward the end is a reason so many fans think this was the best combination of the GVB ever. They sang this again at the GVB reunion show just a few years ago. I think you can find it on KZbin-cried listening to it!

These are treasures I look forward to us finding. And if you think about it, I mean they probably couldn't imagine us having these KZbin channels and finding all these old performances and loving them so much 20 years later. In today's world David would never have remained a secret treasure like he is. Even if he stayed with gospel. He's finally being recognized and rapidly more so by channels like this.

We’re all sinners but we have to accept that grace from God through HIS son Jesus Christ. I’ve listened to the Gathers, Gold City, Brian Free and Assurance, and many other southern gospel singers all my life. Some of the best singers on the planet. IT’S ALL ABOUT GGOD!!

In my opinion the version performed by George Younce and Glen Payne from the DVD “Joy in the Camp” is the best of the lot. You should check these two greats sing. Younce and Payne were two members of “The Cathedrals”. Another great song is “Set Me On the Rock, Joshua” a duet with George Younce and Toni Clay. And “What a Meeting In the Air” from the DVD “Good News. This song includes the talents of Rosa Nell Speer Powell, Mary Tom (Speer) Reid, Ben Speer, Guy Penrod, David Phelps, Vestal Goodman, Jeanne Johnson, LaBreeska Hemphill, Glen Payne, George Younce, Rex Nelon and Ray Dean Reese.

Lyle, I don;t know if you know, but Bill & Gloria have written hundreds of great Gospel songs over the years. Gloria is often the lyricist and Bill writes the music. They are both up in age (80;s) I think so pray that God allows them to continue to bless us for many more years. Also, I don;t know the link but the song House of gold features Mark , David,Guy, Michael English, and others. It is fantastic.
