The ARM single core performance is because when you are doing a single core task it usually happens on the main lower powered cores, then when it is doing a multicore task than it start using it higher powered cores. But if you were to have a task manager and were to manually set the task to one of the high powered cores you'll probably getting a higher rating in single core score.

So I would open the geekbench program, then task manager, then tell that process to only run on the high performance cores.

@@Eccentech I went ahead and got an Apple iPad Pro 11 w/ cellular to replace my iPad Air 2. I also have a Samsung S6 tablet with cellular so I'm good to go. I do have laptops also (13"/15"). It was either the Samsung or the MS Surface Pro X but that one is not an Intel chip. I did see the one with the Intel chip at the Samsung site but it's okay. I'm happy with the iPad 11 Pro, it was on sale at Best Buy for $1049 with 256gb memory.

The snapdragon version would have more PPW compared to the Intel one, as well as a luck ton more battery life and Cellular support by default. The CPUs cannot be compared since the architecture of both are completely different, it would be like comparing apples to oranges.

@@Eccentech That sounds wrong, since there is now ARM64 version of Chrome. But the ARM64 version of MS Edge that you tested should have operated about the same, if that is what you meant in by comment above. BTW, the 8CX dominance over the Intel i5 in the multicore versions of the benchmarks you talked about in this video looks like an early peak at the killer performance coming now in the X Elite and X Plus processors. In other words, by watching these improvements in the 8CX, it looked like you were seeing some of these Snapdragon processors pulling up beside and starting to blow past their competing Intel parts, at least in the benchmarks.
