Good review..just got this watch yesterday..Good B.Friday deal. Xmas pressie for myself. Ordered S.Steel bezel and strap. Battery life swayed me to get this one rather than newer 3. Cant wait to play with my new toy. Linked with my galaxy s10 lite.

I got a stainless steel bezel upgrade and a batch of straps, I wear a leather on a daily as it doesn't sweat and switch to rubber when I go to the gym.

6 months in and my Galaxy 46 mm is the best thing I've bought for years and as a former watch collecter the only watch I'll ever need.I may well buy the next model they bring out just because it's there but will never sell this one .

Thx for the review, dude, btw there is a video on youtube that explains how to change bixby for GA. I've just ordered mine for 250$, can't wait to get it, hope that i'll not be disappointed about this watch. Though its the only watch i can buy with WR ATM5 AOD, speaker and other cool features like maps and so on.

Cheers man! I actually did do the Google Assistant mod on my watch, and was going to put it in the video. But it was a little more lacking than I was hoping (like you can't set timers or reminders or send texts), so I left it out for the sake of video length haha. Bixby does the job for basic stuff at least. I'm glad you liked the video man!

Came for the watch review, subbed for the HQ content! I've also tried a few virtual assistants, google, dragon, and bixby to note a few. Personally I've been impressed with Bixby's capabilities at least on my S9+. While the voice recognition might be slightly sub par I haven't noticed it, and the image processing is damn impressive. I've also found Bixby to be more flexible in what you can have it do, especially being so deeply integrated into Samsung flavored android.

Thanks for the review, very informative. The only thing that keeps me from purchasing one right now, is the fact that Samsung Pay is still not available in Germany. Otherwise, this watch literally has no worthy competitors as of now, with the Fossil Gen 5 hardly making it through a day.

I.got 6 smart watches. Vivatars Samsungs fitbits. I got the. 46mm watch im going to. One for my dad. Either for father's day or birthday. Yeah apple watch is expensive. I would not get a iPhone. Its too much. He doesn't want a fitbit. But if it doesn't work he can get. A fitbit charge 4. I got to get it without him knowing about it. He will like it. I hope so.

Awesome job, and very insightful. I just want to confirm one thing. Im getting the LTE model, Will this still work properly like the Bluetooth only version if I dont use the cellular. And can I still get notifications on my watch from my phone without the cellular. Thanks in advance

Yeah mate, absolutely. It'll work just fine in Bluetooth only mode. As for notifications, you'll still receive them, as long as you either have your phone connected via Bluetooth or your watch has an active WiFi connection 😊 Edit: and thank you very much dude 😁😁

Quick question, im in UK and on THREE network which currently does not support Esim. If i buy an LTE version and then maybe in 3 months or so THREE start to support Esim do you think it will be straight forward to hook up with them or will i maybe have hurdles like a locked watch etc, or maybe samsung dont lock watches to certain networks. Im buying second hand. Thanks. Chris.

I really can't see why not man. As soon as your carrier releases the support, it shouldn't take much more than going into the settings and adding a mobile network. At worst a factory reset of the watch and go through the setup again, but I doubt you'd have to do that :) sorry for the delayed reply btw. KZbin is terrible at sending notifications haha.

I currently have the Active (first one), it's alright but the battery life is annoying even though I have the settings set up to extend the battery life. I might get this because it looks better, has a better battery life & being honest the Active looks the time travel device in Endgame & it looks tiny on my wrist.

Mate how has the new update helped the watch? One of Samsung's claims is that the swimming tracking has been updated and is now more accurate. Have you tried this and do you know if swim lap tracking is now good?

@@meadsource It's not bad at all, works very decently under water, counted my lap pretty well. Need to raise your arm at the end of each lap. Unfortunately I don't think my data got saved or the app doesn't save lap data, need to test it with the swim.com app next :)

You don't need all the functionality of a phone on a mobile, it can't replace the phone in such a small device. Let's face it that many people don't need a watch, I would never use navigation or Google assistant on a watch. A smart watch is only a fashion accessory, nice face watches and health apps are more important.

It don't matter if anyone can afford this watch or not, I have this watch it's only two months old and guess what....IT WONT SYNC WITH ANY APPS EXCEPT STRAVA!!! It is now a paper weight for me so 350. bucks lost and gone forever ... it is a beautiful watch but is useless entirely if you use any other app except samsung health app and strava....Save your money get a fitbit instead.

Go to GAssist.net to read how to get Google Assistant on Galaxy Watch. Also lookup an app called Navigator in Galaxy Store, it uses Google Maps on the Galaxy Watch.

Cheers for the heads up dude 😁👌 They're both decent options. The only problem with Gassist is (at the time I tried them) that they weren't fully featured... Like setting timers etc. I believe it was something similar for the navigation app. That's why I didn't include them in my video at the time. But perhaps things have improved since then and I could consider making a follow up video about those apps 🤔

It's funny you ask that. I was just trying last night haha. I used to be able to, it worked when I first got the watch. However now I can't get it to work. It keeps telling me I have no connection, regardless of whether I'm connected to my phone or just running of the watches 4g. Which is kind of weird. Perhaps KZbin updated their API or something, requiring apps to be updated... There's no real reason it shouldn't work...
