Agreed! I have decided to just stick with NA for this build, and it WILL be getting ITB’s. Along with some high compression pistons and some cams. Should sound mental

Very cool. Thanks for posting your build progress. After you get tired of the NA power, ITB’s and forced induction go well together. I have an ‘87 turbo that will most likely get an 07k or ttrs motor in the next year...the gallardo header really simplifies the build 🤘🏽 Factory long tube, merged collector, carb legal with a heat shield...

It actually looks like that 5 banger takes up less room in the engine bay than the stock 4. Do you happen to know the weight difference between the 2 engines?

Definitely would be a dream to own a NA high revving 5 cylinder 944. Which btw, have you guys seen Integrated engineering's FBO 07k? Do you think having all those bolt ons would be possible for this swap?

I have seen that, it’s insane!!! I don’t see why that stuff wouldn’t work, but you would have to use our intake or fabricate your own.

Damm. Now I really want to know if a passenger side Gallardo manifold would bolt up. I have an 07k swapped gti and was planning on doing a turbo kit atop the trans. This would make that so easy if the pass side would clear the firewall that is. How tall is it from the deck surface?

Part number should be in the description. To my knowledge it’s from the 5L, not the 5.2L

Awesome build! Thinking of swapping my 944 once the engine dies, what are the pros and cons of a boosted 07k engine vs an ls for track/ half mile? And what transmission would you use to handle the higher power? especially since you can easily go past 650 whp on both ls and 07k. Is there a transmission that would allow stupid power along with keeping the weight distribution 50/50?

A 944 turbo trans will handle 500+ whp, a 968 trans will handle 650. Both keep the transaxle layout and weight distribution. I have not owned an LS swapped car, but the red car in this video was LS swapped and he had nothing but issues on track and decided to swap it to the 07K. Personally, I just feel like the 07K fits the original design of the car better and I LOVE the sound. With that being said, LS engines are tough to beat.

Unfortunately I can’t answer that just yet, as we haven’t seen what it takes to make that type of power. I mean it requires a fully built engine, but that isn’t the end of the world. I would guesstimate $15k all in?
