Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Review

Welcome back to Don Critic. Today we’re continuing the journey through Capcom’s Devil May Cry, enjoying the epic third entry. Hideaki Itsuno (Director of DMC2) came back to prove that he wasn’t done with the acclaimed action series and wanted to improve everything that went wrong with the second entry. DMC3. The game that retooled Dante into the Wacky Wahoo Pizza Man we love today and introduced us to his brother, Mr. Motivation himself, Vergil. This game is such a blast to play, regardless of which Son of Sparda you play as. It's the perfect jumping on point for newcomers and still has something to find for veterans of the series. My second favorite of the series. Fun fact: Arkham was originally going to be named Hyne (pronounced "Hai-Neh"), but Reuben, Langdon, Dante's actor, convinced Capcom that English speaking players wouldn't take that name seriously (I wonder why) and so they changed it to Arkham.

It certainly did, one of Dante’s best designs. A complete change around from DMC2. Woah I had no idea about that bit of trivia, always nice to learn something more about this series 😃
