When I was younger, I was really into retro video games, and especially the Game Boy. So when I heard there was a Game Boy with a backlight that I could play in the dark, I was soo excited! I legit imported one from Japan when I was like, 12. It's still my favourite console ever! I played countless hours on it, and have even worn down the paint. I absolutely recommend it as the definitive way to play Game Boy games. The indigo lighting, like you said, is super easy on the eyes. Truly a wonderful console.

I swear my cousin had a Gameboy Light when I was a kid. We went camping and I was jealous of the lit display. I also remember it being silver. Which is really odd since we live in Texas.

The new style of video was really good. Where you could improve is making your speech more clear or making the captions into the video. Boris does that really well. (Channel name: Life of Boris) the music was perfectly balanced. Like it wasn't too loud but I could still hear it

U didnt mention the screen refreshing rate plus the faint black vertical lines on high density pixels area issue on the pocket, by the way i have no battery level indicator on my pocket ?? Does this mean that iam holding an extremly rare unit ?

Not particularly rare just an early unit from before mid-1997 or so.

The only downside is nintendo didn't add a fucking backlight until the Gameboy advanced SP. Also I own 2 frontlight version of the GBA SP, however I was born in 2003 and played the system when I was 4 and 5.

I'd personally avoid the early Game Boy Pocket models - the lack of a battery indicator light gets VERY annoying, and leads to a lot of situations like the end of this video except without the dim light letting ya know it's about to go.
