Yes, you read that right. Game Builder Garage CAN be set up for multi-console multiplayer games. I haven't worked out every bit of the process yet, but this video shows that data can be sent and received with flashes of IR light. I'll do a full video on this when it's ready.

WAIT! Big moment of realization! The IR lights can be turned on and of, which means you can code in binary to make more complicated commands! You can use the IR light on as 1 and IR light off as 0

I'm not sure how effective it'll be, as with the setup I used in this video, the fastest I could flash the lights was with a delay of 0.3 seconds. Any faster, and it wouldn't be received reliably.

I was able to make local vr using the gyroscope and accelerometer inside of the joycons

I see how this could work. Have one controller of each console face each other like that, and have the other one used for controls. But getting the other player to move around is gonna be the hardest part.

I got around that limitation by pairing an extra right joycon to each system. That way, both players can move freely while the right joycons handle the communication.

I always wanted to see if multiplayer existed in GBG. I only have one question are you going to make a game with this?

I'd love to, but I'm not sure what kind of game would work since communication is so slow. I'm sure there's a way to make it faster somehow

I was thinking what if you hooked up one of those controllers to a computer instead? then bridge a connection between two machine..... 0.o

I've thought about this actually... It's totally possible to have some kind of PC integration this way, since you can easily program a flashing light. It'll be extremely slow, but it'll work.

if you had 6 right joy cons, set the movement for a person to use the d-pad, could you technically make the person move on both ends?

so you just need 3 joy cons for each console

If you want each console to still have all of it's default controls, then yes, you would need 3 joycons per console for this setup.

The hardest part (for me at least) is figuring out how to translate inputs from emmiting side to output on camera side….

Not sure what you're asking... But if you're referring to controlling a Person with this, I don't think it would work very efficiently.
