I hope these game companies realize that we are in control of their future, if you want EA to disappear quit buying their games! Instead play Indie developed games they're miles better compared to what companies are capable of releasing, they respond the bugs and issues much quicker and they actually care about their community. EA owns alot of companies which own alot of beloved franchises. So for example if we stopped buying PvZ games PopCap (which owns the IP) could go bankrupt, which wouldn't affect EA too much. But if we stopped buying their non PopCap games, EA could go bankrupt, which would also lead to PopCap going bankrupt. So we have no choice but to keep buying their games.

There are game I play that felt unfinished back in 2019 was kingdom hearts 3 and the game was unfinished. There wasn’t the oathkepper and oblivion keyblade, there were missing scenes, less fighting abilities, missing final fantasy characters, and etc. they release re mind and it cost 29.99 and there with concert video with 39.99 these days games are lazy nowadays.

Hey mate. Love your videos, so entertaining and just straight facts. However, just one minor note about destiny 2, the main reason the game went free to play was due to bungie parting ways with Activision meaning they weren’t forced to have a price tag on their title. Yes, the dlc does cost and the player has to purchase to play, but they gotta make money somehow I guess 😂. Anyway, much love dude! Keep up the amazing videos!

I have two possible explanations. One, they’re trying to replicate No Man’s Sky, where they were able to build a community after fully fixing the game. The only problem is that at least with NMS, it was made by an indie team of 15 and not enough time, whereas other companies are massive with the staff to make these games. The other (more likely) answer has to do with the gaming community. Many devs have talked about the pressure of the gaming community. For example, sending death threats when they don’t release it fast enough, some being ok with massive crunch and a culture where things come to us faster than ever before. Furthermore, the reason their behavior is acceptable is because we haven’t learned from past experiences and still purchase games in these states. It’s the same reason for Disney’s live action remakes. Even though everyone says they’re terrible and we want original ideas, they are making hundreds of millions to over a billion dollars and actually original movies aren’t fully appreciated until after their failures, like Scott Pilgrim and Children’s of Men. If we want original products and finished games on release, we have to change what we spend money on and not repeating the same thing we’ve been doing for years. Nothing will change unless we actually do something

I would allow stuff like this if it was made by one developer. I am a programmer myself (I do robotics and I am also trying to make a game myself which will hopefully have enough when I publish it that I won't have to do too much updates) and it is HARD. You can't just flawlessly make a whole game without having to look up something and sometimes it's just tiring. Although if it's a huge game company and they release games that are supposed to be good such as cyberpunk, It's just not going to work if you half ass it the first time and release it unfinished.

Me personally I understand where you coming from, mainly because my sister and I had an Xbox one, and whenever destiny was first released we had the same issue as you and that's why I hate those times games now because if you really think about, it is just the same game over and over again just a bit different. That's why I tried to help the companies that are smaller. because if you look at entertainments in general they're just trying to scam you for example Pixar, Pixar website amazing achievement with animation but if you just look at now Disney and Pixar just the same company. They one good movie every like every 5 years but they only started doing this after the early 2000's because in my opinion they finally realize that they can just scam people out because of their good reputation. Europa Universalis IV is actually much worse than Destiny 2, as not just content and flavor, but HALF OF THE MECHANICS are locked behind a total of a $300 paywall, $427 if you count music and skin packs (which I don't). I guess we're just lucky that Paradox doesn't delete the DLCs after we bought them, whoop de doo.

💥💥 This is what I've been saying for the last 10 years ever since the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 came out in 2013 developers realize that they didn't have to release finished games and that they can update the games and finish the games with patches and updates. That's when gaming went downhill it's not a coincidence. it also doesn't help that a lot of great game titles that was around in the 2000s are no longer made anymore and we had a wider variety of video games to choose from back in the 2000s in all genres.

getting? no there there already go watch gameshack videos on how toystory and sonic where made or go watch how naughtydog even made crash bandicoot even run game devs would take the hardware they have and build games the the peak performance possible on that console hell just in crash bandicoots case its not even possible to make that game run on a ps1 using the official sony development methods they had to write code to start kicking unused frameworks and library out of system ram just to get themselves extra ram space so they could load content direct from cd in almost real time then when they couldn't push any further they designed there games and levels to hide what they couldn't do (there's a reason crash games always have stuff hiding the rest of the level like walls and curves) but for the last 15 years if not more devs have gotten lazy why bother optimizing your game to run on the lowest specs possible only allowing for more hardware when necessary when you can just write the laggiest buggiest mess of code and just slap a few extra gb;s of ram a higher GPU and CPU on requirements and say DONE if game devs shipped a game that wasn't working at launch people would demand refunds but today its just normal to ship shit on a disk and patch it as you go and just deny refunds game devs aren't getting lazy they are already lazy and the argument of well if you think its so easy why don't you do better is invalid game devs before you and even some at present have proven this is doable if you cant match up to there commitment to quality you shouldn't be a game dev
