When It comes to seasoning popcorn I have one more tip that wasn't mentioned - blend your spice mix using an electric coffee grinder. Especially helpful when adding herbs/spices that are bigger and don't want to stick too well, but really useful even if seasoning with just salt. Also as a base I like to use an equal mix of salt and msg with a tiniest sprinkle of citric acid to which I add different flavorings (herb blends, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, garlic powder, anything really works with popcorn). This base allows me to season more liberally to replicate how much flavor is on commercial snacks like chips without it being overly salty and flat.

I worked at a movie theater. You can just throw the seasonings in when you throw the kernels in. In fact we used to just pour the salt into the kernel scoop. I think it gets better coverage, less overall surface area to fight against.

Just a PSA on the nugs they can most definitely be done in an air fryer. The trick is to lightly coat the nugs once bathed in the dry dredge with a sprits of oil to get that that golden brown crispness.
