Incredible review and this is clearly something I would have appreciated way back if I had a Game Gear. While it's clearly different, it reminds me of other types of retro puzzlers and I've always enjoyed the parts of Zelda games where you need to fill empty floor space with a tile-setting device and this is the same idea. Also appreciate the memories you share throughout your videos. Fantastic stuff and keep up the stellar production!

Thanks. I remember those Zelda puzzles from either Link's Awakening, or maybe the Oracles games, but I only recall a few instances where you got to do that.

Great video, dude. I'm definitely going to have to check out "Sliders". Though admittedly, the game play of "Sliders" makes me think of a 1987 arcade game called "Mustache Boy". Strange name aside, the objective of the game is walking over tiles, avoiding enemies, and dealing with trick tiles. :D

I just looked up Mustache Boy (very weird google results btw) and it sure does seem similar. Slider, called Skweek originally, came out originally in 1989 on the Amiga, so the devs Loriciel might have seen Mustache Boy and been inspired by that.

Nice review man. To me this looks like a cross between Pac-Man and Q*Bert. That US cover art does look terrifying 😂

that box art gave me an actual nightmare when I was a child 😩

Yeah, it has to be one of the most disturbing pieces of cover art ever conceived.
