Every time I come back to watch this game I'm just floored at how many brilliancies there are throughout it... obviously the majority of us are I'm sure, hence the name lol, but damn man! Bobby created _so_ many poison pieces early on. Then the *Qb6* and the final bomb of *Be6* which was another poison piece that would allow a beautiful smothered mate in 6 if captured. I still wonder what would've happened if Byrne played *Qxc3* instead even though it's considered worse here (going to check that with engine). But he _didn't_ play it, and that attack that followed by Bobby after Byrne played *Bxb6* is just so satisfyingly crushing! That windmill where Bobby purposefully takes pawn first to allow his bishop to defend his knight in c3 is awesome, and the way he doesn't greedily take the rook until the perfect time is awesome, and the fact that he knew that after all these moves, losing his queen wouldn't matter since he'd be so far ahead in material is awesome. A game of pure genius! I love it every time I check it out every few years! I'm going to open up an engine and see where *Qxc3* -- taking the knight -- would've led instead of *Bxb6* but doubtfully would've gone anywhere. Perhaps just would have given Bobby an advantage that he could've exploited in a much less beautiful game.

A game so spectacular that Boris Spassky stood up and applauded Fischer after he resigned.

Why exactly do people like game 6 that much? It was an excellent game, sure but it is praised more than it should be. Game 13 was most interesting in that match imho.

It's not be exaggeration to say that this game was one of the brilliant most beautiful chess game ever I have seen in my life.really it would be right to say Bobby Fischer as a "God of Chess"

How did Fischer look so much like the little kid from Malcolm in the middle at that age?
