Tywin does not need to sit on the Iron Throne to show that he is more powerful than the king himself. Joffrey is afraid of him. You can see how Joffrey tries to avoid looking directly at him, and changes the subject of the conversation because of his nervousness. when i first watched this, i hated when Tyrion kept saying "i don't have a choice" when he was arguing with Shae about him being forced to Sansa because i thought he does have a choice-he could choose to go with Shae's earlier invitation to run away with her to Pentos and live a life as an ordinary raunchy couple, which he refused because he thought he'd be bored since he loves politicking. I used to think he was selfish at the time since he'd rather risk their lives so he could be amused with playing politics than live a safe boring life overseas with her. However, realizing how much Tyrion's twisted father hates him, I don't think he'll just let them go to live a quiet merry life. I believe he'd actually hunt them down because he despises his son so much, he'd never allow him a happy existence even if he tries to stay out of his sight.

But I've just now realized what the mark of a good quality reaction channel is. It's the ability to make a person want to watch a film/program. And the mark of a GREAT reaction channel is the ability to make someone want to re-watch something that they've already seen and had no desire to watch again. At some point during this episode, I decided that I want to watch GOT one more time, for whatever reason. And what makes that thought pop into my mind is your emotional response to things happening during the show. You make me want want to go on that emotional roller-coaster again. I'm watching you thinking " I want to feel that sadness again. I want to feel that shock again", etc. Which is NUTS because...I've seen it all, so how can I be shoched or surprised or whatever? tyrion's reaction isn't something that many viewers catch or ponder on afterwards, so i was also pleasantly surprised to see hannah bring it up. he's actively interested in sansa in ASOIAF, and it's not something he begrudges or dislikes in any way despite him obviously pitying her. and this might be a presumption on my part, but i don't think sansa's response to margaery was firmly rooted in the sexual aspect of it. sure, that's an awful situation, no 14yo would be raring to mate with a dwarf in his 30s, but there's definitely more to it. she dreamt of bearing joffrey's children once, and came to deeply resent that idea. to sansa, being in any way tied down to a lannister is a revolting thought, it's been like that for a while now. in several scenes, she welcomes the thought of dying if it'll spare her from marrying a lannister or bearing their children. it's actually cersei who delivers the news in the books, and iirc that's how sansa finds out, the same day as the wedding. she's mortified enough to consider suicide on the spot. the thought crosses her mind quite a few times throughout her captivity, and we don't really see it here, but she's clearly justified in not wanting to marry tyrion or any lannister for that matter.

I'm pretty sure she's not 14 in the show (but probably is in the book...I should know but I'm overdue for a full reread), but it doesn't nullify the rest of your comment because either way, she's still ridiculously young.

@meghanmonroe in the show she is 14 when she marries Tyrion, and in the books she's 12, 1 month away from her 13th birthday. Sophie Turner was 17 when they filmed season 4, and she's pretty tall, so a lot of people assume Sansa is older than she rlly is. Which is fair, they almost never mention her age in the show. I hope this doesn't sound rude or argumentative, I'm autistic and big on details :)

Arya says Death is her one true god because that's what Syrio told her. "What do you say to the god of death? Not today!" She's also probably around 11-12 here, girls would often be betrothed by 13 back then

She believe's in the one true god being death, because of what her "water dancer" teacher taught her. "what do we say too death? Not today"
