Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 REVIEW ("A Knight of the Seven Kingdom")

For the record I have never been a big fan of Daenerys, but with this episode Im finally feeling for her character. She always seemed to be across the sea, the only one with dragons, not really part of the Kings Landing storyline. At the end of Season 7, Dany was at Kings landing with the throne so close but had to yield because of the White walkers. So fine, shes going to The North, loves Jon, theres a truce for now but then the bad news rains down like crazy. Cersei, nah, not coming. Her hand, Tyrion, made a big mistake and now IF her army can defeat the white walkers, THEN she has to go fight Cersei and the Golden Co. Seems impossible but she will then get to sit on the, of wait, Jon is the true heir to the throne, so not even then. Shes gonna snap. Arya may have lost her virginity, but Dany was the one who really got screwed in this episode

i adored this episode but it also has left me completely & utterly terrified...i already had been tryin to convince myself that everyone in the show is gonna die since it's the last season, but after soo many characters got happy-ish endings to their story lines, i'm convinced every one of them is really really really about to die

I loved it. Probably my favourite episode so far. In general I like the quiet drama of a conversation more than the spectacle of a battle and here we got a whole episode full of character drama.

Its...KENNY!!!! So glad to see him back! And what an episode to return for! This has to be one of my favorite episodes! It was done so well! Especially Podrick singing 'Jenny's Song'! #BookNerdsRejoice The interaction between Jaime and Bran was fantastic! Brienne getting knighted by Jaime! So many amazing character moments! Arya and Gendry ?!? Semi-Cringe?!? I was happy about it...but I was also like...oooooh...noooo...she's like my sister, dude! And Dany being Dany...that fiery blood/temper rising to the surface, and that tunnel vision she has for the Iron Throne. It always comes back to the Iron Throne for her, no matter what. I'm surprised Jon told Dany the truth, especially considering that he honestly has no desire or intention of claiming the Iron Throne for himself. #AmericWasWrong ?!? Kenny is right! Lets #MakeAmericGreatAgain . Lastly...GHOST! We had a Ghost sighting! So we can all breathe a sigh of relief that D&D didn't blow their entire effects budget on the dragons! Fun fact though: We saw more of Ghost than we did of Americ! Awesome review guys! See you next week!

One of my favorite episodes of the whole show! I've never been so emotional watching an episode. I've loved Brienne and Jaime AND Arya and Gendry since the beginning. I couldn't believe all of the payoff I got in this episode! Great review :)

Theory!!! Remember in season 1 when Jon got burned during his first encounter with a wight? Well, now that the dragon is an ice dragon, I have a theory on how Jon proves he's a Targaryen: the dragon breathes ice fire, so when Jon gets hit by it, he doesn't burn because he is ice and fire.

Asking the real questions here - what's the point of keeping Berrick alive? Well, in the books he served his purpose and gave his life to someone who isn't in the show and is a big thing in the plot. So this question actually points out the weak scripts, which makes my booksnob heart happy :)

Doesnt matter how old Maisie is now, its just that she will always be a child in my eyes(its just like how I view my own daughters). We watched her grow up since she was a lil girl, so in my eyes she is still a child so seeing her naked a bit surprising to me. I was also thinking they would not show her naked at all(not even side boo or any boo for that matter), but this is GoT, anything goes!!!!

The Sansa rape scene was controversial as well. Also, Sansa looks like a young woman while Arya still has a bit of a baby face. Podrick's actor was already an adult when he started on the show and a year later he got the prostitutes scene. That's different than seeing Maisie who really was a little nine-year-old when she was first cast. Having said that, it'd be nice if people loosened up little bit about teens and sex. It's a very normal, natural thing.
