Most of the Dothraki, most of the Unsullied, Jorah, Rhaegal, and now Missandei. The first three in a war that she didn't necessarily have to fight in order to win her throne, and now some of those people are plotting against her? At this point, it's hard not to think she'll be justified to burn it all down.

@Abdulkarim Elnaas I don't think I did the best job of conveying what I meant. It's just that Dany could have probably steamrolled King's Landing last season when she still had three dragons. She could have burned the city down, and all of its subjects, and claimed her throne. Instead, she listened to Jon's warnings about the plight of the North, and by extension the rest of the Seven Kingdoms later. She went North not only out of necessity, but also because she dislikes seeing people suffer. Maybe she has something of a messiah complex, but at least it's one that leads her to wanting to save people most of the time, not murder them. People DO worship Daenerys to an extent, but she didn't ask for it, the same way that Jon didn't ask to be declared King. They both have people flock to them because they want to make the world a better place, even if Dany has a bit more of a chip on her shoulder about birthright. In actuality, the books show Jon to also be far more consumed by the idea of birthright, and envious of those in positions of power that he can never attain because of his bastard status. He's flawed too.

I thought exactly the same. Jaime's a great strategist so he knew the only way to keep the woman he loves safe was to lie to her face and break her heart to get her to stay back in the North. But I think he underestimates Brienne's love for him. Also, I think Jaime feels responsible for not snuffing out Cersei's madness long ago, so he thinks it's his duty to go rid the world of her evil. But Brienne will follow, and I think in the end Arya's going to kill both the twins, and Brienne will be just moments too late there to save him. And so Jaime will get to die in the arms' of the woman he loves - Brienne.

@Olivia you are right on point with your comments about it being such a disservice to the fans to cut the series short at 8 short seasons. That is really the underlying issue of the dissatisfaction that fans are expressing this season. Really, since season 6 we have been experiencing a lack of detail and finesse (ex. Teleportation in season 7!) in the show. It's real grief that the fans are feeling about what the show could have been. I feel you, Olivia on every reaction you had. I am full on team Dracarys! Ultimately though, creators are able to produce a great episode experience. I'm not so unhappy that the episode is not enjoyable. I also still like the show. But I am starting to think that I wont be watching any upcoming companion shows. Fool me once, shame on you HBO.

She demanded Jon not tell anyone about his parentage because it was inconvenient to her. Sansa told her she should wait to let her troops and dragons heal, she didn’t listen. I feel like Dany was wrong about a few things this episode. I just wonder if people are complaining about writing and things being rushed because stuff is happening that they don’t want to or genuine complaints. Remember Ramsey already told you this will not have a happy ending. Again, GRRM had a multiple day sessions with the writers and outlined the endgame for all major characters. Whatever they do in the show from a major plot point perspective will be in the books (unless GRRM sees the reactions and changes it on them). I feel like they are in a no win situation. No matter what they put out, people will complain and whine. If it had been 10 episodes, y’all would say it was dragging or fan service.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Dany, I actually like her character, but she worries me in how much she portrays almost zealous behaviour. Her belief in her destiny to rid the world of tyrants, is clouding her judgement of herself. If she stormed Kingslanding and burned the Red Keep, she would ostracize the people she claims to want to save and become a tyrant in kind. But, if that happened, it's not surprising; as you said, she has lost a LOT, and the only person that has shown her gratitude (Jon) is now potentially her greatest rival should Cersei be defeated. And the leaving of Ghost and death of Rhaegal, I feel, is foreshadowing his end too. Though I'm not counting on it being Cersei's side to end him, his greatest flaw (if it can be called that) is trusting too easily for the sake of the greater good. He was murdered once for it, and now...I wouldn't be surprised if yet another 'ally' would try to take his life, but this time the knife will be in his back. It won't be those who disagree with the alliance, but instead those he has allied with. She is not willing to risk /her/ throne. (SORRY ABOUT THE RANT 😂 THIS IS ALL JUST SPECULATION haha)

I think the first hit was most likely fatal, it hit his chest plate and therefor his heart, so the neck shot looks like it just finished him off. So i would personally say John wouldn't have altered the outcome, sadly.

It would’ve been better if he had a rider. You can see earlier in the Ep that Rhaegal was injured so he already wasn’t 100%. Dany had a false sense of security being near her fortress. They literally just defeated the Army of the Dead so I’m pretty sure the last thing on her mind was to be ambushed near her home turf.

Agree with you 100% You can really see the last 2 seasons after they ran out most of the book material and the announcement of the end of the series where the writing has switched from telling great stories to a "OMG we have X amount of episodes left and X amount of those stories to wrap up." Its definitely affected the series and produced more complaints than ever in seasons past. The most disappointing to me, and perhaps there is still time to correct this, is Bran's story. The audience has been with him on his story arc since season 1 trying to understand what his role would be in the impending war with the Night King. Turns out he was just going to be bait this whole time? Seriously? Can Bran at least use his warg skills to scout ahead and look at what Cersei is up to? There sure was an instance where Dragonstone could have used a quick scouting report recently, especially considering how close Dragonstone is to Kings Landing.... I'm still doing my best to enjoy the series. I'm hoping there is some redemption in the final two.

I thought Dany was completely unhinged this episode. She refused to listen to people who tried to tell her that her forces needed to recover...and for that, she lost another dragon. He was injured and her recklessness caused his death. I also think that Jaime was trying to make sure that Brienne wouldn't follow him. He intends to die in King's Landing. I think he was doing the thing where you say really nasty shit to push someone you care about away from you.

Gods, why are people calling Dany mad (as in crazy) when her reactions are completely justified. Every she puts trust into someone they end up betraying her (save for Missy and Greyworm) or they ignore what she says and HER interest suffer. Had she stood firm and not gone with Jon she could have taken the city with in a few days (even if it got bloody Cersei wouldn’t have the Redkeep stuffed with human shields) and with Kingsland her she could have sent armies and supplies to the North hell they could have even evacuated many of the common folk. All in the same time it took Jon to bring back a wight to fail to convince Cersei and loss a dragon on the way.

Seems to be a common theme in several reviews and reaction people wanting Dany to now burn it all. But there are over 1 million people in Kingslanding, let's see how they change their tune once they see innocent women and children burning on the street. And she was acting so cold an jealous, sure I get it you see tormund brag about what Jon did she didn't feel like people gave her any credit. But does she really care about what the wildlings think? People know it was Arya who killed the night king so she can't pull the men getting credit for a womans work card. Instead of isolating herself she could have sat down with Arya and Sansa and made a plan of how they could best get Arya inn and out to kill Cersei and that along with helping in the war would probably have won Arya over 100%. And she could name Sansa Warden of the north seeing as Jon doesn't want power. That they would get to be independent like she did with Yara and the only thing she will ask of them is support her claim to the throne and help her win the war since she did help them win theirs. Why is the North so important to Dany anyway seeing as she clearly doesn't like the land or the people there anyway. Also what the fuck is up with Bran, in the first episode he said "we don't have time for this" clearly meaning that they don't have time for their squabbles. And the dead are defeated now but he could have a meeting with Jon, Arya, Sansa, Dany, Tyrion and Varys have them sit down and tell them exactly where they have all been where they are coming from and what they need to do if they actually want the thing they claim to want. They all claim to want peace for their people with as little harm to the innocent as possible. Having Arya kill Cersei by killing Euron taking his face killing Cersei would solve so many of their problems. I get it they need drama and conflict, you can't have everyone agree and be just fine, there would be no intrigue. But there is real drama and conflict and then there is manufactured drama. Dany has shown her true colors more and more since she came to Westoros, and she either needs to stop calling herself a liberator and being against tyrants or admit she is a foreign Conqueror who intends to become a dictator over a people who did not choose her. She literally starts crying because of people wanting to choose Jon, how is that any different then what her brother did to her once she got the respect that he felt he should have gotten just by being born.

I love your reactions and i understand your opinions but i have to disagree with you, this was probably my favourite episode of season 8 so far, it just felt like we were back to proper GOT. Just had to write a few of my thoughts on the episode so here they are: Sansa is looking out for her family, she made the right decision to tell Tyrion, in my opinion. It wasn't Jon's war, if Daenerys didn't come to the North, she still would have had to fight an even larger undead army with little knowledge about them. Can people stop hating on Bran not doing anything, everyone around knows his capabilities and yet don't converse with him. I agreed with Sansa, they should have waited for the soldiers to recover and had more time to strategise. The whole Tyrion and Varys change in loyalty is happening too quickly and is one of the episodes weaknesses. If Daenerys switches into Mad Queen mode, i couldn't blame her, she's been through a lot and has lost most of her closest allies. Jamie better be going to kill Cersei, otherwise i cant wait for Arya to kill the asshole, if he did actually leave Brienne. I think Tyrion will stay loyal to Daenerys and inform her of Varys' betrayal. Melisandre told Varys that they both "have to die in this strange country", he's not going to live past the next episode.

My heart broke for Rhaegal. He took a beating for Jon to take down Viserion and Dany was happy cuz at least she has her children. Then BOOM! I literally cried. To survive his first dragon fight then be taken down. They are slowly isolating Daenerys and now she has no one that has been with as long or that she can trust. She's gonna go insane and just burn them all. She'll go Mad Queen, die and join Drogo and her son in the night lands.
