I've been watching a lot of KZbin clips about the fashion of Game of Thrones. I really love this episode because of what they do with her wedding dress. I can understand Bran losing more of himself as opposed to Bloodraven still remembering more of himself because he had much longer to live life and have a sense of who he was where Bran is a young child at a critical age. He's seen such tragedies and been through so much, moments like running around free again, seeing his family without being able to interact with them via visions, I would imagine it would make him more robotic as we saw last season.
@blackbird_entropy6 жыл бұрын
Batshine Exactly. Bloodraven had a character that was developed over decades, experienced good and bad events and got to really grow up. Bran never got the chance to which is part of the tragedy of his character, and most of the Stark children really.

I love the shaving scene because it's such a subtle but powerful thing to show Theon's submission and loyalty to a man that tortured him so incomprehensibly. Especially when he finds out that Robb was killed, the person he thought of as a brother and who he might have considered his best chance of getting released (even by death) from Ramsey. He learns that Robb was killed just as he has the razor at Ramsey's main artery. It's such a small thing to let someone shave your face but it really does show control in great visual storytelling.

They probably would have used other methods. Sending the Golden Company against Westeros would likely not yield results. Instead they would play economics. In the books, Mel burns Uncle Flurent to gain favorable winds for their sea voyage to the Wall, and in the books, while Stannis' hand of the king, he wrote a letter to Tywin saying that Stannis will surrender and that Shareen will be married to Tommen so that when Stannis dies, the Lannister's would basically get Storm's End and he did this without Stannis' knowledge, so that's treason so he deserved to die. The show makes Mel way more evil than she actually is in the books.

Paused at 15:22 to say that (imo of course) Tyrion couldn't explain things to Shay because she, as a person, has a very strong-headed & stubbourn personality. As in, she believes strongly that everyone has a choice and freedom to follow that choice if they really want it. Tyrion would say that it isn't that simple in his situation, but Shay always argued otherwise when the topic was brought up. So Tryion did what I think was his only choice besides forcing her away against her will. Just my thoughts on it, really enjoying the video so far.
