There's actually a theory going around that new Middle Eastern KZbin accounts are "auto-subbed" to T-Series. So you know, we tested this out with a few different accounts (new/old, from different parts of the world, etc.) and couldn't make it happen reliably enough to list it as a cause. It's something KZbin HAS done in the past, but in this case, there just wasn't enough hard evidence.

another thing that I wish he'd brought up (though this was made 2 years ago so this could be a more recent thing) is that t-series honestly doesn't get many views. Especially considering how many subscribers they have. Currently, they have 150M subscribers and on their home page, the videos you see have views ranging from 800M to 2M, which is fairly good. But if you click on the video category (all of their videos, not just their big ones) they get about an average of 200K-300K views on each video. And what I've seen from watching a ton of videos of different youtubers with different sub counts, about a third or fourth of their subscriber count (this isn't including mr beast cuz jesus christ only a fourth of his subscribers DONT watch his vids) watch their videos. So for a huge youtube channel like T-series that doesn't make sense. I don't have any scientific reasoning for this but if matpat (or anybody for crying out loud) could explain or make any sense of this, please do. I also may have my facts wrong because I didn't pour my soul into this research.

I feel that this is unfair. Pewdiepie worked for his subscribers over the course of 9 years, T-series grew basically overnight. Through the good the bad and the ugly we have all acknowledged Felix as a hard working face if KZbin. Him being knocked to the number two spot will essentially strip KZbin of its face... Of our only constant variable over the past 5 years and now we're going to lose that too... I'm not even a fan of pewdiepie and I take this as a sign as the platform dying...

The creator of T-series was a poor Indian man(who got less than 1 dollar per day) and he created a billion dollar company all by himself, while Pewdiepie went to youtube a company that paid him money, even the person who made t-series didn't get support from his parents because they died. Pewdiepie did so little compared to him, he created a channel on his computer and he got paid from youtube, he plays games and edits the videos. The creator of T-series had to make a miracle of what he currently had to make a business, hired loads of people and made a massive company (which pewdiepie didn't) and made billions of dollars. I really don't know how someone can say pewdiepie worked harder than him now(P.s the creator of T-series got assassinated, and Pewdiepie didn't have to deal with that. I know that the same explanation as the other comment can you just comprehend what the words I'm typing actually means you can't just say a person worked harder than the actual competitor because it is hard getting a good job in a developing country a decades ago, whereas Pewdiepie just got a job by going on the internet, posting gaming videos, editing them, and waiting for miracle to happen, it did happen, but his advantages were he was in a developed country, and youtube's algorithms made it easier for him. Gulshan Kumar already had a bad start because it was only like a decade since Britain stole their money, yet in a country robbed by Britain, and had a job as a juice maker, he started making movies and it worked and he got a whole company, which pewdiepie had not done, he had also made a business in a time, where technology wasn't easy to access, in a country that had been destroyed.
