Days gone has been my go-to game for the last couple of years . The real problem was 3 fold 1. Red dead 2 came out before so every one was burnt out on huge open worlds and it didn't borrow enough from read dead two alot of people wanted to be able to store a gun on the bike make a campsite in the open world Have more survival mechanics and an outfit system. And 2 . The woke of us :the last of the bigot sandwiches part two . Was about a year away everyone else was riding that hype train mock 9 straight into a Joel in one . 3. The performance issues at launch and gamers from the hard-core to the most casual tourist still listened to the mainstream uralists saying in unison" not another gruff white male" singing that sweet baby inc tune opening the flood gates for the woke garbage . And let's not forget youtubers who didn't even play the game dismissing it as another generic zombie game . I played rdr2 after days gone . And I'm old enough for the woke of us to have not been my first" adult themed" game of a Father's struggle to save his daughter from a nightmarish hellscape (silent hill 1 ) . And if astrobot is supossed to be a huge celebration of all these Sony i.p.s. where are the concord astrobots ? After all they belong in this grave yard of Sony memberberries

I get being upset that the game you were a creative director for isn't getting a sequel anytime soon and is basically otherwise ignored, I really do. That's so frustrating. But that's no reason to take it out on other studios who love the game as much as you do and I really hope that if, by some miracle, Days Gone gets a sequel that it gets a new creative director rather than that whiny cumstain.

Days Gone does deserve a sequel. I don't think the character's appearance in astro wasn't meant to belittle it. But as a celebration. However considering what sony has been putting out this generation, a sequel to days gone would have done better than these live service games. Sony has way too many IPs to have such a dry first party generation.

On Steam, Days Gone is rated Very Positive with 92% of 61,652 Steam gamers who reviewed it giving it a thumbs up. I pre-ordered Days Gone and played it day 1 and got the Platinum, and I loved Days Gone despite some of the PS4's limitations. Days Gone and all those who wanted a sequel got shafted by a few idiots who made the stupid decision to cancel the sequel. I would be pissed too if I was the director of Days Gone and the sequel was canceled...and then later on Sony supposedly "honours" the game by having Deacon in Astro Bot. Those responsible for cancelling the Days Gone sequel deserve the anger and animosity the director has for them and Sony for not supporting a sequel.

As a person who was not caught up in the pre-release hype of Days Gone nor in the genre, I can say it not only surprised me pleasantly, it became my favorite game of the ps4 generation followed by Ghost Of Tshushima. I can further say no game of the current generation engrossed me as much, although Lies of P and FF7 Rebirth are both amazing fun. Spiderman 2 and GOW 2 were definitely epic, but were more like Cinematic bull runs that didn't really compel me into a 2nd playthrough. Sony did Sony Bend dirty. If the game didn't hit the expected sales, maybe Sony should also consider how they are marketing their franchises, and waste less resources on other things like overpriced VR and Pro models. Astrobot is great, and I'm glad I purchased it day 3, but compared to the full fledged worlds of Days Gone and Ghost, it's a lovely palate cleanser and fun tech demo. My point isn't that one should replace the other, but that the collection of these Sony Exclusives is what wins me over the years.

What people doesn't get when talking about this game is that for players outside of the US, there's not much to relate to, character wise or story wise. He's bland and doesn't have global appeal. The creator must think otherwise but riding a bike in uninspiring locations wearing the cap backwards is not the epitome of coolness as he believes it to be.
